Caio over looked Imavov imho

I didn't see that at all.

He faced a tough matchup and skill deficit (not necessarily a huge one but enough) and chose to play it safe rather than take risks.

Caio is normally a very intelligent guy who normally doesn´t do this but this time he did and even chose to become replacement for the Dricus-Chimaev. He was also talking more about a future title fight then only focussing on Imavov like the Sniper was focussing solely on him.

Imho he didn´t think much of Imavov stylistically which later proved to be a fatal mistake, you could say he kinda of miscalculated Imavov´s calmness and levelheadness which is what decided the fight cause he fought so emotionless that he even didn´t let the crowd to get to him and go more on the attack as everything was measured and this is what Caio missed to take not

Caio did fine, honestly. His chin held up and he managed to land some hard shots on Imavov. He may have expected Imavov to gas, but I don't think he really underestimated him in an appreciable way. Round 1 was close, three saw some nice adjustments with Caio hand fighting effectively, 4 saw Imavov crack the forming adjustments with his own, and 5 they were both landing well. Leg kicks were the only obvious "miss" in Caios game plan.

Borralho looked good and fought well. Imavov just looked better.

Maybe Imavov is just better than Borralho?

Borralho has been dominant, but his best win is a past-his-prime Cannonier (who Imavov looked even more impressive against)…

Imavov, on the other hand, also has wins over Brenden Allen (who was on an impressive run at the time) and Israel Adesanya (who looked great against Du Plessis in a losing effort)…
