Ankalaev was on a 14-fight undefeated streak - This was Pereira best win in his career without doubt

It wasn't his best win because of Ank's unbeaten streak, it was his best win because it was avenging a loss, and back to back losses at 38 is pretty tough to come back from.

All 4 fights with Izzy were close battles 3 just happened to end in KOs.
Also you are making shit up Alex wanted a 5th fight and said as much immediately after the loss. Dana and Izzy said he wasn't getting the rematch.

Ankalaev won an uncompetative dec and was steam rolled.

Meaning that ank presents difficulties izzy doesnt. Izzy and alex are both stand up fighters. Ank is way more well rounded. Defeating him proved a lot more on the difficulty scales and shut up a bunch of people who thought that alex would not be able to get past someone like ank. Theres more stock in him beating ank.

That's only because he'd already beaten Izzy and other guys. Imagine if he'd have lost that first mma title fight to Izzy what would he do? Leave mw a loser? Fight 3 more mw contenders to get a rematch? He certainly doesn't get fast tracked at LHW without the former champion credit. Alex wouldn't be half the star he is today without beating Izzy in mma.
And for all the talk of Ankalaev well rounded difficulties Izzy is the guy who scored TDs, Izzy is the guy who had him needing a ko comeback.

Yeah just because Ank took a right hand perfectly placed behind ear doesn't mean he's the worse fighter. Just bad gameplanning. He should have thrown hard and heavy early instead of thinking he was gonna outstrike an angry Pereira technically.
