Ankalaev would not have been champion if Pereira wasn't as hurt as he was in the first fight

I fully believe Pereira when he said how messed up he was in that first fight because that did not look like the usual Pereira performance and this rematch showed how a 100% Pereira does against Ankalaev.

tbh I scored the first fight for Poatan although it was close. Even if health was a factor, I figured that Poatan knew that Ank wasnt that threatening and would leverage his power in the rematch.

I cant believe he's surrounded by all those wrestlers and cant wrestle

But poatan agreed with it so its not ankalaev's fault. Injured fighters never lose if they can have this plot-armor.

Yeah it's of course not his fault but I think when we look back he'd be looked at as a gifted champion who got lucky the other guy was a mess coming into the fight.

Lets be real 9/10 these I was hurt excuses for rematches are kinda bullshit and they go the same way but even watching the first fight live Poatan did not look like himself out there, These other dudes saying it looked completely normal mostly. It's got to line up with past performances.

I've had a rotovirus so bad before I thought I was gonna die.

Plus the injury. Plus being overworked

Yea some were treating poatan like an excuse maker but he deserves the benefit of the doubt. His record is clear with me
