Caio over looked Imavov imho

Caio is normally a very intelligent guy who normally doesn´t do this but this time he did and even chose to become replacement for the Dricus-Chimaev. He was also talking more about a future title fight then only focussing on Imavov like the Sniper was focussing solely on him.

Imho he didn´t think much of Imavov stylistically which later proved to be a fatal mistake, you could say he kinda of miscalculated Imavov´s calmness and levelheadness which is what decided the fight cause he fought so emotionless that he even didn´t let the crowd to get to him and go more on the attack as everything was measured and this is what Caio missed to take note.

He talked about putting on a complete MMA performance and did try to get him down multiple times. He just failed to get him down probably thought he could work grappling but Imavov made it purely striking.

Probably not, but Imavov didn't have to do two weight cuts and probably got a couple extra weeks of camp in. On top of fighting at home with no jet lag or anything.

I think he overestimated himself moreso than overlooked him but either way back to the drawing board he likely fights the loser of Fluffy/RDR next

That's an option. The big question is, will the RDR/Fluffy winner fight Khamzat or Nassourdine because the person who doesn't get the shot if they choose to wait it out, it'll be Summer at best. I think the odd man out will fight DDP.

Definitely won´t be summer but around january or febuary..

It will be quick back to back to back fights for Chimaev

I think both Imavov and the winner of this fight is gone happen very quick right after each other with 8-10 weeks in between
