What about the children of the parents who are fucked up all the time on drugs? What model of thinking do you propose that would improve the impact that their parents life choices have on them? Crack babies, children with fetal alcohol syndrome. Neglected children raised by people with no emotional maturity...generally speaking they grow up to be like their parents.

That post is generating a lot of misunderstanding. My view is we should rehabilitate, not imprison. I’m not saying drugs are awesome and people with kids should smoke crack. All I’m saying is punishment hasn’t worked and we have over 3 decades of data to prove it.
