Amazing performance, surprised me so much, from the first second he looked like he is about to murder somebody. I think that was eating him the whole time, that last performance. I thought he was just insecure against Ank, wrong read. He just could not wait to make it right.

Any specific info why his performance in the first fight was so bad? Joe mentioned some issues with arm, Alex only said he was not feeling well.

I gave Ank too much credit. I thought he might be able to last at least a round

I'm in the 39.4% of clever bastards
I think the first fight was a combination of whatever was up with Alex and Magomed fighting a disciplined, perfect fight for himself. Ankalaev is a big dude, but Alex looked huge this go around. Regardless, Alex came out with bad intentions and he seemed perfectly healthy, so it's a one and one fair and square, but I don't have much interest in a trilogy,

I am squarely in favour of Alex movie up. Way more exciting. There are so many plodding heavyweights he could highlight reel in a short span of time. He's never beating Tom, but watching him tee off and chop down HW's is a fight fan's wet-dream.

Was a question of was Pereria really si k and injured first fight. If he was then Pereria was going to murk him (which h he did) . But Pereria wasnt 40% first fight more like he was 10 % as rested Pereria ia a different animal

Do you really consider it 1 to 1 lol. You think those are equal weighted outcomes?

How is it anything but 1-1? You value Alex's win more because he got his hand raised faster? Or you feel it more emphatic? The fight's not about you or what you like. All about getting your hand raised. One way or another.

If you take a fight while you are hurt or sick, and you take the L or get KO'd as a result of making a stupid decision, it is what it is. There were plenty of posters on here well-before the fight saying Alex looked off. If he was sick, if his hand was broken, he could have dropped out at any time. The decision to fight was on him and his camp, and he chose to fight. But Alex is a fighter first, athlete second. Alex's loss is on him and no one else. Doesn't matter why he wasn't ready last time, that ship has sailed.

Alex took this fight way more seriously, and it showed. He showed up healthy and focused and won the fight. So yes, they're one and one. I don't take either loss or win as better than the other. Both wins won fights and titles.

If Ank/Pereira want to run it back, I'll watch it without a single complaint. I liked both fights, so you can't threaten me with a good time by making me watch a third bout. If Alex says fuck LHW, that's his decision but I hope he does. Dana can't make guys fight each other, he's already made that clear, so if Alex doesn't want to engage with Ank again, oh well.

It's interesting that more people thought Ank would finish Poatan than win by decision. I really think some people greatly overlook how close the first fight was.
