He still quit and I have taken much better shots without reaction. Now doing that vs Riddee on the world stage with no hold barred is a different scenario.

He talked to the world and got the reply from the fans.

Who pays his salary ? Who pays for the UFC

I may not have a lick of training, but I'm confident I at minimum survive 15 min against the opening bout fighters. Possibly land a fight ending strike at that.

So he makes claims like he is the champ, he called the top 3 easy money. What you except. Now he gets a few jokes his way.

I train regularly. UFC level and regional pro level fighters would take me out in 30 seconds. Even sparring lightly with them is terrifying because of how damned good they are

I don't think your're holding your own against any of them if you haven't fought at any level.

Go watch a video of Kimbo and Michael Jai White together, and tell me who was the teacher and who was the student in that scenario. Just because Kimbo fought and MJW didn't, you really think Kimbo would've had any chance in the fight?

I don't need to be a fighter to laugh at someone who's been talking out their ass. You want to talk big? Go to it, it's a free country. But that means you're going to lose big too and thats the risk you take talking a big game you haven't proven.
It's a fine line.

I'm enjoying seeing him get humbled. And it's fair to compare his toughness to other UFC level fighters

What I hate is when couch potatoes call pro fighters pussies or cowards. They are not those things even if they happened to be douchebags

Not saying you did any of these things, but I've heard people do it in bars or watching PPVs in a big group. And I'm like, dude you can't even do 15 pushups. What are you even talking about?

Bo kinda needed this. It was a big step up in competition and when you've never felt any kind of adversity, you feel untouchable. Regardless of how he comes off sometimes, no one can say he's not one of the hardest workers on the planet when it comes to training. Now he knows some of his holes and will work hard to fix them.

The issue is that his holes include:
Striking
Grappling
Fight IQ
Toughness

For a guy who saw himself fighting for a belt soon, he has a lot to fix.

What do you mean key board warriors ? If me and my friends from work showed up you and 3 Gorillas would be awfully quiet. Nganou fled to boxing to dodge me, everyone knows. True story when I was like 5 I tkod my aunt by punch to the nose cause she blocked the door, no joke. She kinda laughed at it but since her nose was bleeding it counts as win for me. She did not land anything. At least UD. So I been a pro fighter since 5. At least regional ammy.

Striking for sure. He's a pretty decent grappler so I'm not going to say that. Fight IQ, definitely. Thst will get better with more fights.

I'm not going to shit on his toughness tho. You don't get to where he was in college without hard fork and being tough. Also, dude ate like 12 knees to the liver until his body couldn't take it anymore. That doesn't make me think he lacks toughness.

I am having fun seeing Bo's wake up call. He is still a public figure to some extent - ridicule is fair game.

But also remember; you are a forum poster. Not a fighter.

Very few people can be, or will be a fighter of any kind.

Some of you need wake up calls.

* There are some fighters on the forum - your opinion is much greater in the context.

No wake up call needed.

People are comparing him to other "fighters" not themselves.

lol how do you not get this?

I learned as a kid that most people in this world never put themselves out there and really compete at anything...but will just take sides with whoever wins and ridicule whoever loses. That is just human nature; no, animal nature: to ally yourself with the victorious alpha while discarding and distancing yourself from the defeated alpha.
"You're only as good as your last fight" - Kenny Florian

When you say you would kill top guys in a round or that you would beat a chimp in a fight and then get owned, you really deserve the ridicule.

That's a lot of crybabies in one thread.
None of my post-history mentions Bo other than vague ridicule. I am not a fan.

It's simple. As my thread said.

Criticise, but remember your ability when you do.

This thread also brought out a lot of humble brags. Some insecurities.

Criticism is not the same as being a piece of shit. Enough of you have post-history of endless trash talk against professional fighters. Part of the Sherdog charm I guess.
I was on these boards 18 years ago.
A lot has changed. Mostly for the worse.

Being a competitive athlete leaves all the gates open for public scrutiny. The vast majority of any fighters pundits are gonna be unathletic spectators that have never been punched in their life

I don't know how long it takes for some people to realize that but to me it's pretty fucking obvious and it's completely okay. Why? Because that's the way it is and it will never change
