Go watch a video of Kimbo and Michael Jai White together, and tell me who was the teacher and who was the student in that scenario. Just because Kimbo fought and MJW didn't, you really think Kimbo would've had any chance in the fight?

I dont think - i KNOW Kimbo woulda crushed MJW like a soda can. MJW has alot of training in Martial Arts but he's an actor first. Kimbo, was being respectful when listening to MJW but that dont mean he wouldnt mop the floor with MJW. That little 'snap jab with no tel'l that MJW loves to promote is fine in concept and showcase -but dont add up to a hill of beans if you havent shown you can use it successfully in a full fight scenario. You know how many Master Segals are out there, showing moves that look and sound totally technically sound -yet they are more a mere proof of concept.

MJW loves to humble brag about how he's "sparred" with the best of em and then name drop a who's who of MMA's greats. Ive seen some of that "sparring" and its friendly style sparring that anyone could do with a pro. Pro's respect his celebrity more than anything else and give him props for his total martial arts acumen and fame -but that snap jab/Hollywood kick wont save you if you react like Brock to getting hard smacked in the face.

On just about every card there's a fighter who gets totally wrecked but they don't catch near as much flak. The reason is most fighters don't go around talking massive heaps of shit. If you do that and then you lose, welp, RIP.

The thing is, talking shit is a gamble that has proven to pay off in the past. If a fight talks a huge game and wins, he is beloved as long as he keeps winning. For refence: who is more famous, Conor McGregor or Stipe Miocic? One of them won a lot and talked a lot of shit, while the other won alot as was a quiet down to earth man. Guess which one made more money in this modern attention whoring world...

...but on the other hand, if you talk a big game and you lose...it can backfired on you and the flack you receive will be so much stronger than would be otherwise if you were quiet.

So, it is a gamble but fighters are trying to make money.
