Bisping just confirmed his bad eye doesnt work at all

He took the eye out of its socket and showed everyone
It's a shell that fits over the eye.
He said on his podcast recently if he covers his good eye he can tell when you turn a light on and off but that's it, his book is a great read, it's amazing what he did to keep his dream going.

I've read that blind people can see shadows

So that makes sense

IMO he's not very clear here. He tries his best to diverge and not be 100% clear.

He says he can see a tiny bit, then says he cant, then says he was able to pass medicals if he squinted in the right direction and the doctor was surprised he could see anything at all...

So he stays on the fence basically.

I guess you could interpret that and take it as he couldnt see and just didnt want to admit, but he doesnt say clearly "i cant see shit"

I don't understand how he can physically remove a prosthetic from his eye and still have a lump of slightly functioning eyeball in there. Like you could just jam an object in there on top of a mangled eyeball and that wouldnt be agonising...as you say hes taking great pains to not explain wtf is going on

Why do you think GSP took the fight.lol Sure, Bisping was a game opponent, but fought compromised for a while. He compensated, but guy had no depth perception. Of course he would try to keep that shit under wraps for as long as he could. Imagine if folk kept circling to his weak side. Eventually, I think stuff gets out, the MMA community is small, and I'm willing to bet at least a couple or a few of his last high profile fighters had an idea about how to get over on him, and let's face it, a smart fighter will use whatever at their disposal to win.

Thats exactly why there is so much confusion regarding the situation.

He said when he fought GSP he couldn't see out his eye, and had a blown out knee.

the use of the term "bad eye" you would think would have made that fairly obvious to the point of making a thread declaring its functionality to be minimal quite pointless, but alas here we are in this cruel and paradoxical realm

That makes his epic title reign and all his defenses against top competition even more impressive.

Old one eyed Mikey B probably had the same Dr as Maycee

"It's just partial blindness, he's good to go"

Finally some info

Sounds uncomfortable as fuck but what do i know

Still not clear on how his eye is small enough to fit some bullshit contraption on top of it but thanks for coming thru with something at least

I tried explaining it to him this morning but I don't think he believes me, Mike has a podcast, a good one, he went into detail when he first got the prosthetic but yeah he's been a bit coy about it since his book came out out because it's covered at length in there.

I’m confused, we’re talking about “the good eye” right? Not the one that has been replaced by a glass eye?

The eye is purely cosmetical. Dude works on TV.

He pulls a glass eye prosthetic out of his eye on his podcast. Obviously he can't see out of it
