So yes...but those algorithms that picked that up also tell us in this case someone WAS seemingly dumb enough to think they'd get away with it. They not only got all sorts of late action from dormant accounts on Del Valle, they got a bunch of action on Del Valle rd 1.
You're absolutely right that people thinking they can get enough down on these prelim fights (especially props with +700 odds or whatever) are idiots. Even large books aren't going to accept huge exposure on something they normally don't get much action on--for this exact reason. It tells you plenty that even the amount they did accept set off all their red flags. They have automated systems looking at EVERYTHING.
Yeh, and it's automated so the stakes don't even matter. When you click to place a bet, there's so many checks it does against not just the current market for the bet, but also for your account, before they actually accept your bet.
Like, I used to have certain types of bets take 2 mins to go through because their system had to look at it over and then sometimes their market team had to personally review it quickly.
Nowadays there's some bets I do they just automatically limit me to a %. They definitely picked up on me last year betting half a unit on every WMMA fight to have a finish at stupidly high odds lol. Didn't matter if I was putting 10 bux or 500 bux on these bets either. It probably didn't help that there was likely no one else on these bookies always betting girls to finish on fights that looked like a lock for a decision lol.
That's the sort of effort they go to in order to protect themselves from honest gamblers. Imagine how much more vigilant they are against those that are actively trying to make the most of fight fixing lol.
It is wild though that dormant sharp accounts were trying to suddenly bet big on the Dulgarian fight lol. Like, how much dumber can you get? As if you weren't getting instantly noticed.
