Sad for Slava Claus but his best days of fighting are solidly behind him so the cut does make sense

It's worth remembering that Slava was basically an accidental signing. He was a 4-1 last second replacement on DWCS to fight Chris Duncan, a high profile British prospect. They clearly thought he'd be a gimme,as did I. Until he wasn't! He did well to have 16 fights there actually.

This article says that Yasuke Kinoshita and Marek Buljo were also cut.

Forgot Kinoshita was on the roster. Bujlo was rumoured to be cut for refusing to fight Verhoeven. I'm on the fence about that supposed signing but a HW or anyone being cut at 0-1 is rare. He looked shit but we've seen shitter get multiple fights.

It's funny, I found myself thinking about that guy the other day and wondering briefly how his legal troubles went. I spent more time remembering what an awful fighter he was in terms of entertainment value. He was fairly successful considering what a limited mixed martial artist he was, but he could suck the life out of otherwise entertaining fighters like none other. There are certain fighters that are able to drag other fighters down a couple levels during the course of a fight, not because of crazy pace and aggression or technical superiority, but through a combination of awkward timing, mediocre fundamentals in all facets of fighting, and a certain je ne sais quoi that virtually guarantees that win, lose, or draw it's going to a decision, the fight will have sucked for the full 15 minutes, and both fighters will have a right to claim that they were the rightful winner but no one will care.

I hated Des Green as a fighter and it sounds like he's an irresponsible man-child who SHOULD be a guest of the Florida Penitentiary System for the rest of his life. Florida is still a red state that locks crooks up and throws away the key, right?

I'm surprised he got a second chance to be honest, after being cut in his first run in the UFC. He's never looked UFC material to me, ever.
