I was only planning on doing 5 singles at 290, but I got a greedy. My left glute hurt immensely after every rep. It hurt to sit up and stand after benching. I'd do a few light bw squats and was able to slowly walk it off after a few minutes. I was feeling weak at the start and didn't really have my best leg drive, so I started out low, nonetheless I managed to score a moral victory hitting 315 again. 305 felt like it flew up...310, well it sucked. One wraps came undone and flew off as soon as I accepted the bar. I was able to grind it out. 315 was the first rep I would've given a red light. I lifted my ass, but after all the other reps and the pain in my ass... I'll call it a win. I consider my meathead card renewed.

I always played with Prince, seemed like decent euipment for the money. Haven't played for real since the second shoulder job, I've been thinking about it recently though.

Nice lifting

Ouch, two shoulder surgeries? I'm searching for some sort of sport to play to stay active. There isn't much once your in your 30s. Tennis has been fun to learn.

It's still freakin' hot out. I needed a cone from McDonald's immediately afterwards.

Liquid is bailing on lifting today. He said he has a hangover.

[AM] Hike 1hr 50min at South Mountain.

Had to get up early to beat the heat. While hiking this morning my wife was in the lead and was being Mrs. Chatty McChatterton with her friend and walked right by a snake, which I nearly stepped on bringing up the caboose. When I saw it coiled up about 2 feet from my shoe, I pulled a Shaggy from Scobby Doo. I said,"ARghrghhh, SNAKE!1! and jumped out of the way. Zoinks, it was a Green Mohave. I'm just happy he didn't turn his rattle on, that sound will nearly make you shit your pants if you hear it before you see the snake.

I'm planning hiking the Grand Canyon rim to rim in roughly a month and a half, so I'll just : lift 3 days a week, add in more hiking and treadmillery, and bw back extension for high reps (my lower back always dies first nowadays). The hike should by around 26 miles in length an take 13-14 hours. I hope I can carry enough calories and don't half to eat any other hikers.

i hate snakes.

Are you afraid of snakes or did you jump because you thought the snake would try and bite you?
