Best way to remove scars?

Man the fuck up please. I have two surgery scars from open heart surgeries when I was 2 and 12, Both feet have multiple scars from foot surgeries, Also have a scar on both of my legs from hamstring lengthening

Do you see me crying about it. FUCK NO!

In fairness, you probably can't. There's so much scar tissue in your body it's likely blocking your tear ducts.:icon_chee

Just breaking balls dude, what were the heart surgeries for? At that age your parents must have been a wreck over that kind of surgery. Having two young children, I can only imagine.

Are you mistaking stretchmarks for scars?
I think I am the only non-fat guy to have stretch marks. I've been 175-180 for nearly a decade and this giant stretch mark suddenly appeared on my stomach a few days ago. I have no idea how this came to be. I'm just going to tell people it's a cesarean scar.

Cause they look ugly as all hell. Seriously, I personally hate scars myself.

Inb4 dumbass claims of "scars are manly". There's nothing manly about having bad skin IMO.

You are quite presumptuous and seemingly insecure. I'd called you a pansy, but I'll refrain.

I had an allergic reaction to something and broke out in a rash on my torso, which left scars. It doesn't look cool at all.

even the mona lisa is falling apart.

i got scars from sunburn on the top of my feet. damn you aruba!

oh, i also got a scar from eating pussy. you don't want to know.

Go see Dr. Mengele or Dr. Satan...

Well I was born with Noonan Syndrome, Noonan syndrome is a genetic disorder that prevents normal development in various parts of the body. A person can be affected by Noonan syndrome in various ways: unusual facial characteristics, short stature, heart defects, other physical problems and possibly lower intelligence.

Basically I was mostly spared the defects in terms of my stature. I however got fucked over in the heart department. Doc found out I had a massive hole in my heart that was if my memory is correct was causing blood to leak out of one my valves. I was only 2. Told my parents that I had a 10% chance of surviving the surgery and if they didn't do the surgery I'd be dead in a year. So yeah you can imagine my parents were a mess. I survived the surgery and had my 15 minutes of fame. Newspaper story, and a local news report about me.

I was 12 during the second surgery which was much more routine and just involved fixing up some issues they couldn't get at when I had my first one. However when I went home I got massively sick and ended up having fluid build up in my lungs that nearly killed me because I stopped breathing in the house and had to be rushed to the ER. Had to have a tube put in me for the fluid to be taken out of my lungs. Doc couldn't give me meds when he took the tube out and I can safely say that was the worst pain I ever felt my life.

All in all I had a recent check up with my cardiologist, I'm 28 now and he said my heart is functioning perfectly and that I won't need any further surgeries until I'm in my late 70's early 80's.

Unless it's from some horrific accident, dont fret about it

If the scars are from an horrific accident then no tube of $30 pharmacy ointment will cut it.

Wow, that's hardcore. Glad to hear everything is taken care of.

I'm going to waste all 210 on the Niners and be done with it

Also Duke Nukem Forever is the greatest FPS ever!

I hope you suffered no permanent damage.

That's a wise decision on the Niners.

I dont know how to get rid of scars. I have quite a few and never treated them. You can try chemical peels and AHA treatment. I think those can lighten the scars and help heal them.

Well I am 49ers fan so I have to bet on them.

I still remember playing the original side scroller Duke Nukem games and then finally playing Duke Nukem 3D when we got it on the PC. Holy hell I loved when the girls showed their titties and you got the little stringy things hanging down from them

I take care of my track.mark scars with vitamin e oil. Just rub it onto the scar. Guarantee you'll see legit results. Give it a couple weeks.

Ah, that makes sense man.

Ahahah

That was a great feature in the game. Duke Nukem 3D, Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein, Ninja Warrior, etc. were fucking glorious.

Speaking from personal experience as I have a few scars and have read up on the subject.

First the question is how you scar?
Second thing you should know is that you cannot remove scars, you can only make the look less bad.

I scar badly. I get thick raised scars. So that sucks. My skin doesn't heal that well from deep cuts. I have 3 small scars about a inch each. All from mole removal surgeries. From normal cuts I heal fine but deep ones leave scars. I wouldn't mind them if they were just normal looking scars, like lines but these are raised.

It depends what race you are. For example black people scar far worse than white people. Their skin doesn't heal as well.

If your scars are fresh, keep out of the sun because that can cause hyperpigmentation and make them darker. Also some types of antibiotics can do the same but that's rare.

The Mederma shit really doesn't work in most cases. There are clinical studies that have proven that onion extract doesn't really help. It can actually irritate the skin. Also another thing you'll be told to use is Vitamin E cream. That also is proven not to work and can really slow down healing. There are clinical studies that back this up as well.
You know your skin heals by it self, so anything you rub, after a few weeks or months the scar will look a bit better just because time has passed and the body heals it self. So some people think that it was the thing they rubbed in when it's just you healing yourself.

What works are silicone gel. Try to get 100% medical silicone. That's proven to work and from my experience it did help. I didn't get results like they show one web sites but it did help some. I saw results after like 8-9 days. I used it for like 6 months. After the first 2 months I didn't see much improvement but I kept using it.

You can try to get a cortisone shot, if they are fresh this can help them heal good. If they are raised it can help them get flat. You might need a few for it to work if they are raised.

Laser is also an option. It also takes a few months for it to work. About 4-5 times. You do one treatment than wait abut 4-5 weeks than you do another. This can lighten them up and make the flat. It works better if your skin tone is light. It burns and you'll get blisters from it and a crust will form. That will be happening the week after you get the laser done. Then the skin heals and you do it over again.

Time is another option, scars look better as they heal. It takes about 12-18 months for most people for scars to reach their final stage.

Last option is surgery. Cut them out, use some steroids shots after they cut them and add pressure so they don't get raised. If you scar badly this might be a bad option because you might just get bigger scars. So this is the last option.

Last thing you can do is learn to live with it.

I hope this helps.
