In light of the new evidence, a new trial is in order.
it's polarizing, but so was releasing J6er's, what's right is right, and full pardon on the way out is an easy one. Floyd wasnt murdered, he was hopped up on drugs and hyperventilated, and likely died due to that combination as well as positional asphyxia, but other than that, chauvin doing what he was taught to do, and until there are better methods...... he did what he had to do.Fuck that. He shouldn’t get anywhere near something as polarizing as that.
I think if you are kneeing someone’s neck for 10 minutes, you are trying to kill them even when they are telling you that they can’t breathe.I'm pretty sure he wasn't trying to "kill him", not because he's a nice guy or anything, but because he obviously knows that killing a suspect while people are filming would get him in big trouble.
The guy is not some cold blooded killer, just probably your regular power tripping meathead cop who certainly should have lost his job and got some sort of punishment for his negligence, but the sentence he received was obviously politically motivated and used to pander to and appease the leftist mob and set an example.
That would be much better than a pardon. Maybe we could avoid the riotsIn light of the new evidence, a new trial is in order.
Reuters is one of the publications that capitalizes “Black” but not “white”. I’m not sure they’re the most reliable source.Take left, right and the culture war out of it. He was suffocating George Floyd for 9 minutes. We all saw it on tape. And you are still peddling that “fentanyl” overdose shit which has been debunked….
If you think Biden pardoning his son is so awful. You should oppose this guy literally murdering someone and getting pardoned for this….
It's not even about partisanship, it's about an obvious double standard.I think if you are kneeing someone’s neck for 10 minutes, you are trying to kill them even when they are telling you that they can’t breathe.
Why let partisanship cloud your judgement? You were wrong about the Floyd and the Pregnant women fiasco and now you are batting for Chauvin as some sort of victim of the leftist mob…
Be better, man.

The direct reports are linked on Reuters. You don’t need to take their word on it.Reuters is one of the publications that capitalizes “Black” but not “white”. I’m not sure they’re the most reliable source.
Ok fine, I'll tell you the same thing I just told the other guy, google the name Tony Timpa, quickly skim over what happened, then tell me why this standard isn't applied across the board?Stop dude
He kneeled on that dude for like 10 minutes. It does not matter how big of an asshole Floyd was cops have to be held to standards . Yes the world is better without George Floyd in it probably....but that doesn't matter because you can't just straight up kill or show depraved indifference to scumbags as a police officer or we live in a fascist state. Courts hand out punishments not police officers.
Try to separate the 2 threads and not let one thing cloud the other.
And your fake news source even mentions that fentanyl played a role, so I’m not sure why you shot down that accusation. The direct reports are linked on Reuters. You don’t need to take their word on it.
It says that it played a part but that doesn’t change the fact that Chauvin kneeled on his neck for 10 minutes…You are acting like he’d magically die if he wasn’t put in that position by Chauvin…And your fake news source even mentions that fentanyl played a role, so I’m not sure why you shot down that accusation.
“while Floyd suffered from heart disease, and fentanyl and methamphetamine found in his blood may have played a role in the death, they “were not direct causes.”
Chauvin in prison, career criminal dead. Should be a win-win for everyone.I think his sentence was politically motivated and extreme considering the circumstances. It certainly was handled poorly but the guy was charged with 2nd and 3rd degree murder and manslaughter. He was clearly made an example of. Manslaughter was probably the appropriate charge.
I was more talking about how a piece of shit like Floyd was made into a martyr.
It's not even about partisanship, it's about an obvious double standard.
Let's see if you can be honest in our interaction for once in your life.
In August of 2016 a man named Tony Timpa was killed by a police officer in the EXACT same way as Floyd, except instead of kneeling on his neck for 9 minutes, the officer kept his knee there for 14 minutes.
Of course no one knows Tony Timpa's name because he was a white guy.
Of course the officer in question never spent a day in prison, charges against him were dropped and he returned to active duty, in fact he has since been promoted.
Details of this case are all over the internet, don't take my word for it and feel free to skim over it yourself, it's pretty straight forward... then please come back to me and tell me that there isn't a clear double standard.
Not even sure that Chauvin “killed” him when it was all said and done. But when someone says “I can’t breathe” even if they are lying you put them in a seated position to cover your ass. That’s cop 101 academy shit. Chauvin should’ve known better.
If you remember the bodycam footage Floyd had been constantly saying he couldn't breathe long before Chauvin put him on the ground. The whole time the cops were getting him out of his car and trying to put him in the cop bar Floyd was resisting and repeatedly saying he couldn't breathe. Chauvin was probably tuning it out at this point. It's the just world fallacy thing. You'd like to think Chauvin deserved it but there was bad luck involved there with the fentanyl already tanking the victim's respiration. Chauvin deserved prison but the sentence was overkill.
Lmao revoloution. They fairly easily locked everyone in their homes and forced their loved ones to die alone because although you felt fine you were a "danger" to everybody. And you think the US is a country ready to start a revolution. Hysterical .Fucking do it. Also, cut social security, Medicare, Medicaid, veterans benefits, impose more tariffs, slash military pay, order Luigi to be publicly drawn and quartered, please just do all that shit. Anything that pisses off the general public and brings us closer to revolution, I'm in favor of at this point.
I mean credit to him for providing an A-ha moment during covid. When a bunch of us realized oh yeah , theyre fuckjng with us. Too dangerous to go to work but hey it's okay to protest racial inequality in large crowds.Floyd died from a heart attack that was likely brought on my his poor ticker and the drugs that he had abused throughout his life and ignited by chauvin. That being said, chauvin shouldn’t be pardoned just for being an idiot and causing a summer full of bullshit that we could’ve done without as a country.
