Thor was the good guy's MVP, no doubt. I'm not saying the Wakandans and Avengers would have lost to the Outriders if he hadn't turned up, but they would have lost a lot more people in the battle. And he's the only one to do serious damage to Thanos.

BTW, the Russo's have confirmed that in A4, both Thanos and the Gauntlet are still damaged and not operating at peak power.

It fits the story line of thanos not being invincible anymore

Tony drew blood, thor pierced an axe, his gauntlet is depowered.

Avengers see this and go for the kill, how ever, tactically and strategically speaking, i still give the edge to thanos

I would be interesting to see if the Skull has any new powers. He seemed to levitate when he first met Thanos and Gamorra, and we don't even know if there's food on Vormir. The Skull's managed to survive there for 75 years.
I don't think you can die in that place. I think it is a form of purgatory. A place in-between.

It is my guess that to release the souls currently in the Stone there will need to be a sacrifice of equal magnitude. The Stone requires some type of balance. Remember Thanos had to sacrifice Gamora to get the ability to use the Stone.

It also explains why concept art shows Thanos wearing armour again and carrying a weapon. If both he and the Gauntlet were at full power, he wouldn't need it. Except maybe to fight Thor.

Yeah he probably regrets bring a tank top to an axe fight

A couple points I’ve been mulling over.

1st - wealth distribution. If Thanos used the gauntlet to add resources instead of what he did....the wealthy and powerful would go to war to secure them. By ridding the galaxy of half, we can hope a good chunk of the 1% got wiped out.

Second point is a question. Did Thanos control who was destroyed? Was it an equal split among species and races or just 50% of life? If it was an equal split, why did Quill bite the dust? I thought he was a ‘one of a kind?’

Finally, everyone mad at Starlord slapping Thanos around. Mantis was already struggling with him, Spidey and Tony were giving their all to barely move the gauntlet...I would wager that even if Starlord hadn’t done anything, Thanos would have snapped out of Mantis hold before they removed it.

You're the only one who cares about continuing to use Red Skull in future MCU movies dood

lol I'll be honest I've never enjoyed him as a villian always seemed really basic to me.

They had the glove off to the point that Thanos had to grab it and put it back on so that extra second would have been crucial

Thanos made it clear he wanted it to be a fair wiping of life. So it was completely random. Quill might have been considered human and that human half was removed thus killing him.

Your probably right that it didn't work anyways. Otherwise I'm sure Strange would have told Quill "Hey your going to fuck us and kill the universe.".

Honestly I'm not even sure if removing the glove would have guaranteed they'd win. It would have given them a much better chance but Thanos is a beast even without the glove.

I always wondered if Tony was just lucky he survived and it was a 50/50 chance despite his promise to Strange

It would be playing keep away where 6 or so heroes have the thing

Thanos can't teleport or fly

Starlord just has to hold it over him and laugh while on his jetpack

Or one of them put it on and turn Thanos into a bobble head

Tony had to hit Thanos with everything he had just to scratch the Mad Titan's face. It was obvious that Tony was shitting himself throughout the fight. Not that I blame him. The Bleeding Edge Armour was his most advanced yet, and Thanos walked through everything Stark had.

Thor was the one who brought the pain. If he'd gone for the head, the war would have been over there and then:cool:

Imagine if Stark had one of his earlier models

Like the one that broke in the first avengers movie and he had to get changed

Thanos has energy blast to deal with that shenanigans.

This is what he did to Galactus. The strongest mutant in Marvel history.

That's not what the movie showed me he could do gloveless

1)MCU Thanos doesn't have Energy Projection Powers without the Gauntlet. He's incredibly strong and tough and a highly skilled fighter. But he doesn't have any ranged attack ability.

2)Galactus got straight off the mat and curb-stomped Thanos. Not even the Mad Titan can fuck with the strongest Mutant in the Marvel Universe;)

Would Hulk have ragdolled thanos if he didn’t have the power stone?
