He might try that to deflect attention from other matters but I don't see how he'd be able to postpone the midterms unless we were at war here on our own soil. He also hasn't actually started a war yet despite these questionably legal actions he's taken.

I guess we'll wait to see how far he takes it but there would probably be mass protests before it reached that level. There's no doubt in my mind that he'd weaken the country, the way Chavez, Kim, and even Putin have, if it means he gets to stay in power. Instigating a war here on our soil seems a bridge too far but I really wouldn't put anything past him and his group.

It seems he is a bit worried about the midterms..

I’m not sure I trust this generations protesters..

They are too poor to truly protest and stay out for days or weeks at a time. The protesters we have nowadays do it as a weekend activity..

They all come out on a Saturday to hang out with their friends and hi five each other on their signs..

Then they are back in the office on Monday..

Sure but no one can get to Putin or any higher ups who make the calls and started the whole mess, its them you really want to be hurt
Due to their nukes there's no way to directly topple Putin but continued economic pressure and Ukrainian counter-attacks could eventually lead to his ouster. I know his health has been brought up for years but the guy isn't getting any younger and we all have to die someday.

Nah, this one is a popular war in russia. No one will topple him.

He will die via health reasons someday

Let's see if Congress and the Judiciary are able to check his power and if he's weakened substantially after the midterms.
No, I don't see that happening.
If he does try to meddle in the election process again he'll have his own mass protests to deal with.
When did Trump meddle in the election process? I remember the Biden team (democrats) doing it in 2020 as a result of the start of COVID.
COVID worked wonders for the democrats during the election: Dead people voting, people voting more than once, and mail in ballots.
Americans going into Venezuela will need protection. Either the US military (congressional approval) or hired civilian private contractors.
High possibility of kidnappings like in Colombia. Things will get worse before they get better.

You may have done more drugs and alcohol than I have since 2020 to ask this question. Props.

*Yawn*
All your posts are :
1st - Meaningless insults based off your imagination of those who disagree with you.
2nd - Bizarre shit completely unrelated to my post or the thread. Pathetic attempt to derail the thread because you know you have nothing related to facts and logic to your arguments.

Go ahead, post again and prove me correct... Or incorrect for the first time in your entire history in the WR.
You're a fucking child, "Macron is gay" " his wife has a dick " grow the fuck up already

The political right keep doing things they're not supposed to going against agreed international laws, rights, and values, undermining rule based order in the name of profit, then wonder...

Maduro's admin would put cement in government issued milk for babies? That's what this Venezuelan-American journalist said. That some depraved Mao Zedong shit.

I honestly want people that far methed out to stay just the way they are. The line in the sand was drawn out & they chose who they really are at this point.
Its a good thing for deplorables to have neon signs that you can see coming from miles out. His posts are just that.

It seems he is a bit worried about the midterms..

It won't really mean much if he is, because it requires two-thirds of the Senate (67 out of 100) to actually have him convicted and removed from office after being formally impeached by the House. That's the same clearance it takes to pass a straight-up Amendment to the US Constitution (albeit without a further 3/4ths of state legislatures to ratify). So, basically impossible in this hyperpartisan political landscape. The biggest consequence of losing the House in the midterms is that the GOP won't be able to pass any domestic legislation even through reconciliation bills with simple majorities, but they already got what they wanted there (tax cuts for the ruling class). It will do little to restrain his foreign policy ambitions.
