The CIA/EU already did that in Ukraine under Obama.

Worked out well so far

Let the EU handle their own shitholes
This is a false equivalency even if you take it for granted that the Maidan protests were instigated by the CIA. Obama didn't conduct a military invasion to topple the government. That's more akin to what Russia did when Ukrainian protests chased their puppet out of the country. They annexed territory, funded military occupation, before finally attempting their SMO to topple the government.

It truly is the divine will of Trump’s coming back to power. We have 10 years of hindsight to be able to clearly go back and see this stuff unfold. You probably also saw the Chris Murphy Clip with the exact same 180.

Just like with the nordstream2 lulz, lift trump sanctions tha they all laughed at and all of a sudden Putin gets money to fund a build up. Derp.

Bless trump for being the anvil that will hammer out world peace and lead to prosperity for decades to come. Starts with Maduro, then perhaps the Iranians, then who knows. Good times for all
And all this with no wars? Just threaten them into compliance?

The problem isn’t that we’re powerless against the system and need to revolt, it’s that we’re too stupid and apathetic to use the power we have.

Not Always.

Facing overwhelming opposition from all Democrats and a growing number in his own party, Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee tonight withdrew his proposal to sell millions of acres of public land.

The language in those pages, sponsored and revised over the last two weeks by Lee, would have created the largest disposal of public land since the Homestead Act. Tens of thousands of hunters, anglers, hikers, and public land recreationists have pummeled the offices of their congressional delegations with increasingly strident demands to kill Lee’s bill.

That continued pressure from a broad and vocal coalition of rural hunters, suburban hikers, livestock producers, main street business owners, anglers, dirtbag climbers, and whitewater rafters made the difference, says Montanan Randy Newberg, host of Fresh Tracks and a vocal public-land advocate.

“Mike Lee did something that we’ve not been able to do, to have all Americans become focused on one issue, no partisanship, no Rs, no Ds, and in the process I hope they have sent a message that public lands are that third rail of American politics.”

They really need to get this through their fucking head before they get it through their fucking head, y'know. They should've already known.

In January, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) introduced a bill in the House that would direct the Bureau of Land Management to sell off 3.3 million acres of federally owned lands — an area the size of Connecticut. But this week, Chaffetz decided to yank the bill after a fierce backlash from hunters, sportsmen, and conservationists on both the left and the right. Privatizing public land, it turns out, is a lot harder than it sounds.

A backlash to Chaffetz’s bill quickly formed, as Alex Robinson of Outdoor Life detailed. Conservationists and hunting groups noted that selling off even small parcels of land to private interests could cut off public access into national forests for hunters or campers. But perhaps more relevant, many groups seemed to see this as a gateway to a much bigger fire sale of federal lands down the road. The precise lands in play here were less important than the larger principles at stake.

One group, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, raised a particular fuss. “For Mr. Chaffetz, you’ve kicked the hornet’s nest, and the army is amassing,” said its CEO, Land Tawney, on a widely shared Facebook video. “And I will put my money on the people every single time. The only thing you can do to make this right is to pull those bills back.”

LOL--

The fact that Donald Trump does not support Nobel laureate María Corina Machado as Venezuela's future leader may be due to the prize she received in December.

Two sources with close ties to the White House tell The Washington Post that Trump's lack of support for Machado is because she accepted the prize that he himself openly wanted. Her acceptance of the award is said to have been seen as an "ultimate sin", even though she dedicated the prize to Trump.

- If she had refused and said: "I can't accept it because it's Donald Trump's", she would be the president of Venezuela today, says one of the sources.

Trump said over the weekend that Machado would have a difficult time governing Venezuela, because he believes she is not liked and lacks support among the people. Those words are said to have been a harsh message to the opposition, according to an opposition source to the newspaper.

Nobody... absolutely nobody... considers South America to be a "hemisphere".

Except MAYBE you, and I'd eradicate any trace of online activity if I was caught out like that.

I'll meet you in the middle though: how about a moratorium on posting from Shitter?

It's in your interests as it makes you look less stupid.
Western hemisphere? Do they not teach it in your schools over there?

Trump says US military operation in Colombia 'sounds good to me'

More now on Donald Trump’s comments about Gustavo Petro, Colombia’s leftwing president: Trump said the country was being “run by a sick man” and accused him of producing and selling cocaine to the US, adding: “He’s not going to be doing it very long.”

According to an audio recording of Trump talking to media aboard Air Force One on Sunday, when a reporter asks if that means there will be a US operation in Colombia, the president says: “It sounds good to me.”

The US and Colombia have had ongoing tensions for months amid the US military build-up in the Caribbean and Petro has been one of Trump’s harshest international critics.

The Colombian leader has said his government has been seizing cocaine at unprecedented rates and last month he invited Trump to visit the country – the world’s largest producer of cocaine – to see government efforts to destroy drug-producing labs.

At the weekend Petro called the US action in Venezuela an “assault on the sovereignty” of Latin America that would lead to a humanitarian crisis.

Petro’s criticism of the US campaign against Venezuela, and its targeting of small boats in the Caribbean and Pacific, has infuriated Trump, who on Saturday said the Colombian leader should “watch his ass”.

Sounds like Colombia needs liberation too...
Control the oil and control the coke. The two most profitable commodities. Winning

No.

I've never seen anyone, ever, reference the Western hemisphere. It doesn't surprise me that Americans talk about it since it's basically America and a bunch of water.

I don't see any reason to ever reference it again. Just say "the Americas", but i suppose there's not much hyperbole to that.

I’ve also been taught “new world” and “old world” but eastern and western hemispheres makes more sense to me.

More like:

2001- voted in a corrupt demagogue that went on to consolidate power and turn the country into an Authoritarian hellhole. MAGA have their Red Caps while the Chavistas had their Red Shirts.

Communism requires an authoritarian dictator to ensure collectivism warmly embraces everyone to force them to do their part.

Because hard working people love that they have support lazy degenerates while they have to deal with food shortages

It doesn't matter what type of government when an authoritarian takes over. The elites will prosper while the masses grow poorer. Do you think it would be any different here if Trump continues to consolidate power unchecked?
