The kidnapping (sorry capture) of the Venezualan President was done in conjunction with US Law Enforcement guys, this is completely legit and law abiding, nothing to see here enjoy your weekend.
Outside a handful of allies, no one recognizes Maduros presidency.

Live Updates: U.S. Captures Venezuelan Leader, Trump Says

President Trump announced that U.S. forces had carried out “a large scale strike against Venezuela” and were flying President Nicolás Maduro and his wife out of the country. The Trump administration had been building pressure on Mr. Maduro for months.

Donald Trump said Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro has been 'captured and flown out of the country' after he ordered the US military to conduct a 'large scale strike.'

Trump released a statement that said the US 'successfully' carried out a military strike after several explosions rocked in the capital of Caracas early Saturday.

'The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the country,' Trump said.

So Venezuela has no air defense at all?
Helicopters can just swoop in like nothing?

I mean its not like US has talked about hitting them.
They had to at least have some preparation...

Even Somalia managed to "black hawk down" a chopper.

This feels weird to me.

Apparently Venezuelan opposition saying this was negotiated in advance, and so the 'capture' was pre-arranged. I suppose theatre so Maduro could exit while saving face and Trump could claim a successful military operation

Seems odd that US still bombed all their main bases then…was that part of the deal?

But that would explain how there was not even a hint of resistance and if it turns out the strikes left no deaths then military personnel were likely warned to evacuate. it must’ve been to destroy some equipment that belonged to Iran, Russia, or China which I hear Venezuela was starting to keep.

And any equipment worth keeping........ undoubtedly

Just watched amateur videos of it on X , I have some 2003 iraq vibes …

Same here. Such a small percentage of drugs in the US comes from or through Venezuela as opposed to Mexico and Colombia. This war ain't about drugs.

Super fun being lied to yet again by our government. History repeats itself.

Presidente de la Paz...

In the first Iraq war, we had at least a lying ambassador that said that the Iraqis were murdering Kuwaiti babies.

All we get this time as a foreplay are dingys with drugs.

If this was a Hollywood movie, I would rate the script C-level, just below the movie the Terror of tiny town.

Some large foreign power is going to end up in control of that oil...... Just pick your poison......... carefully......

It's exactly what it is. Same modus operanti but lazier.

But at least Venezuela will now flourish like the other countries who were invaded by the USA like Irak, Afganistan... Right guys ? Right ?

The UN General Assembly has continued to credential representatives of the Maduro government and his administration was recognized as legitimate.

This is no different from sending U.S. soldiers to kidnap the leaders of Brazil or anyone else.

South America is going to have to come together to oppose the criminal actions of a now brazenly corrupt, genocide sponsoring U.S. terror state.

This is total madness. Anyone with oil reserves needs nukes yesterday.

I wasn't complaining about stupidity, I was complaining about absurdity.

"If you don't love it, leave it" is the dumbest low IQ take possible. You are retarded.

Engaging with him will leave you with brain rot. Leave him be he's just a pathetic troll

From a geopolitical pov this accomplish a few things :

1) U.S oil corporations like Exxon Mobile get direct access to Venezuelan oil reserves again. U.S corps were booted out of the country when Venezuela nationalized it's oil industry under Chavez

2) Remove a Russian , Chinese , BRICS ally and their sphere of influence from America backyard

3) A step in countering what was called the pink tide that began in 2010ish in South America. Chile just elected a far right wing leader and Maduro will very likely be replaced by one as well , choosen and approved by the U.S. This put more pressure on other South American leaders that are seen as pro Russia-China and anti U.S like Da Silva from Brazil. Trump was pissed off when corrupt Bolsonaro was removed from power as it was seen as a step backward by U.S interests. Expect to see more of that stuff in the next couple of years

Basically this is nothing new. The U.S just Mossadegh and Salvator Allended the shit out of Maduro.

Chinnys and mh60s don't seem like a normal first approach -- shit is whack

The U.S. has carried out strikes inside Venezuela, a U.S. official said, as explosions rocked the capital Caracas following months of threats by President Donald Trump against Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro.
The Venezuelan government said attacks also took place in the states of Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira, prompting Maduro to declare a national emergency and mobilize defense forces.
