Extremely happy. I wouldn't have thought I'd be making this much if you asked me 10 years ago.

I remember my initial goal was just to get to $1.5k a month when I first moved to asia. Now I often have $1.5k days.

I make about 100k before taxes, much less after taxes. And 100k where I live is almost poverty level. So no, I'm not happy with my income. I want to earn more, but I'm lazy and confused about what I want. Taking that first step towards something new is always the hardest. I like investing in stocks, but the market is weird right now. I pulled out my money (the little that I had invested) while I was still ahead, but now I don't see a good opportunity to buy back in.

Wow, only 10 people earning 200k or more.. the new, modest Sherdog.

Old millionaire 275 benching 10 banging Sherdog was better

Haven't had to suck dick for food in weeks.

Life is good.

Real estate is pretty seasonal, but it's great winding down in the fall and winter having made $50k+ in the summer months. :)

We've got 40% of posters here making over 100k.

In the US population at large 9% make over 100k so I'd say we're truly amongst the elite.

Although having a 100k salary in NYC or California gives you a much lower standard of living compared to that money somewhere like Texas or Florida.

Until I can live a life without working I'd never be happy with my income, although I'm completely satisfied with my life.

no. it actually causes me major depression. My biggest passion in the world is cars, but I'll never be able to own a garage of ~5 super cars like I dream of. No Ferraris. No Lambos. No nothing truly exotic or amazing. I'm not poor but there is zero chance of me owning a supercar in the next 20 years.

I've resorted to playing the lottery constantly. its all or nothing for me. Either I win millions, or I dont want to even bother living.

So you're the guy who waits outside the convenience store at 6am waiting for the door to unlock so you can run in and buy lottery tickets. I always wondered who you were.

My salary is ok...

But my wife's is amazing!

So household wise we are loaded.

But we are still always broke for some reason.

I fell into a position this year making twice as much as I ever have, so I'm very happy. It's also been stable through the pandemic, so I'm grateful for that as well. Currently taking classes on the side (which they're paying for) and trying to figure out how to create more job security for myself down the road. Money was my only worry for a long time. I'm really happy in all other aspects of my life, so things are good now. Should be able to buy a house with my girl in coastal southern California this year, which I never thought would happen.

Several years ago, I was on probation and could barely get a job making above minimum wage. Lived out a pattern of most of my money going to drugs, then bail and legal/court fees, rinse and repeat. Sold drugs for a long time, then after getting clean I was doing customer service and being talked down to by the lowest of the low. It was hell.

Got off probation, had my record expunged, then found a job in logistics at a startup where some of my experience was relevant. That was a massive improvement for me and I did very well, working hard because I appreciated the opportunity so much. Then I parlayed that experience into what I'm doing now, which is more business operations with some finance and bookkeeping stuff. That's gotten me interested in accounting, so those are the classes I'm currently taking. Trying to make a long term plan to eventually pursue that.

I make around 65,000 USD in telecomms in the technicial field, feel overpaid if anything sometimes. Haven't really been at work past two weeks, just waiting for equipment to turn up. I would like more but considering my lack of qualifications I'm doing pretty well, pays my mortgage and have a few toys to play with. Certainly don't have cocaine and hooker money. I'm happy with it.

I'm 32 and make about 30% more than the average swedish person.. which is still mediocre by american standards.. there are a lot of ceo's, doctors and high level managers banking 70-100k here and about 6% make a 100k or more..

I also grew up dirt poor so even though my income is ok i'm not even playing the same game as those who got their first appartment from their parents or got to inherit something..

I don't even see a path to making 100k+ from work.. the median salery for a specialist doctor here is around 90k.. sure, investments, property value etc can push you over those numbers but like a straight up job paying 100 000 or more flat is like a unicorn..

And id imagine getting the funds to buy properry there isnt easy and the taxes high.
