Are we really having zero events for 6 week?

The last event for 2025 is on December 13th and the first Paramount event is January 24th. That means 6 weeks with no UFC unless they put something in later but it doesn't seem likely since they said that UFC 324 is the first Paramount event. I don't remember the last time events were spread so far apart.

yes but think about the great matchups they can do after that 6 weeks pause, like volk-lopes 2, usman vs islam or paddy vs gaethje, well worth the wait i say

Changeover and contracts n shit.

ESPN probably has a no compete clause so UFC is likely fairly limited in what they can say do or publish regarding the Paramount events before the ESPN deal is up.

Thus we gotta deal with a little gap.

Perfect time for a competitor to snatch up market share if any other orgs have half a brain which isn't being stored in a rectal cavity.

Why BKFC doesn't have a Mike Perry title fight booked and heavily promoted right now is kind of impressively dumb.

DBX events tend to "pop up" so maybe they can fill the void a bit. Though I am not confident their org has the collective brain power to run a solar calculator.

Glory maybe?

That stupid ass Jake Paul vs AJ fight is going to be the only big combat sport event for the time period. They might clean up.

PFL has three events in Dec., none in Jan. ONE has a pretty regular schedule with their Fight Nights, but seem to be taking a month off (though they still have their regular Friday fights, which will tide me over).

It's pretty astonishing that there's nothing while the UFC is shuttered. Maybe KSW, AFC, RIZIN or another mid-tier promotion have something I haven't heard about yet.

Part of this is the normal end-of-year misery, no cards in the weeks before/during/after xmas and the new year

But the cards after the new year being that bad, is just piling on top of that

People are always bitching about how "UFC is dying" and now that there isn't any 'weak' or 'watered down' cards for awhile, people are complaining.

Suredawg for you.

Yeah they got killer fights like Paddy vs Gaethje as a fucking main event

Had Arman made the fucking weight, we wouldn't have been having the issue. Or you know, the champion just keep his personal life in wraps and be a professional about competing but that must've been too hard.

This place is going to be unbearable. All kinds of crap for about 5 weeks. Then as we get into the first fight week of back to back numbered events (aka, what used to be ppv). Things will normalize.. As normal as this place ever gets anymore.
