Depends where. Where I live people are really aggressive, but there's only a few cities like that. I've never seen as many street fights and bar fights as in my city, and it's not a thing to be proud of.
But a lot of people just mind their business and don't have a backbone (non confrontational). Timid, I would not say so. Were not as loud as the dutch off course.
when it comes to the dutch
- tall
- loud and very annoying
- have names consisting out of 3 or 4 max 5 letters (tim, bob, jan, gijs)
- stay in campings, and hostels
- cheap (but not poor)
- usually smart and had higher education
- drink jagermeister and redbull or vodka and redbull on any occasion
- roll up the collar of their polos
Last two are definitely not true for the Dutch in general. Though I'm sure those are true for the tourists that have gone to your place.
