Ankalaev = Nondescript / Nothing

I feel like a lot of people are sleeping on Ankalaev’s striking. I’m not sure if it’s on the level of Poatan’s but I don’t believe he is as outgunned on the feet as some of you say.

Ankalaev was completely outgunned by Jan Błachowicz, Rounds 1-3 — being especially vulnerable to a calf-attack — which is why Ankalaev had to take the fight to the ground, and rely on lay-and-pray, to eek-out a pathetic draw.

Meanwhile, at 5000-ft altitude, on his first LHW, Pereira completely decimated Błachowicz' calves, and was eating him alive in the striking game, which is why Błachowicz had to take the fight to the ground, and rely on lay-and-pray, to eek-out a pathetic loss.

Do the MMA math, and do yourself the additional favor of checking Alex Pereira's actual kickboxing resume, compared to the ABSOLUTE NOTHING of Ankalaev's kickboxing resume.

Ya might want to sit down, and shut up, as to who-is-who in striking acumen.

Yes, so lets see if Poatan can avoid this fate!

Ank can wrestle. He doesn't have a Dagi ground game. I can see him holding down Alex but Alex should be able to keep him in guard. Alex's game while on his back is defensive and he should be able to hold until a standup.

Alex has trained, specifically, to "defend himself" on the ground and then to "get back up."

He is also the biggest, strongest man Ankalaev has ever faced, with the biggest punch, and BY FAR the most technical kickboxing skills to deliver the finish.

I'm confident Ankalaev doesn't actually have the experience to "perpetually-grapple" — nor the stamina to keep that up long enough — to win on the ground.

What Alex Pereira has proven, time and again, against people who "try" to keep him down, is that these people who do so are always more tired WHEN THEY GET UP — which is universally been "the beginning of the end" for them.

Ankalaev's KO loss, after he fails to submit Alex on the ground (as he's failed every other time before that), will be a reminder as to who-is-who.

He won on the ground long enough against Jan.

I don't give a ship about the "oddsmakers" ...

I already have everything I want, thank you.

If you think Ankalaev = "a favorite" you are a dumbass. If you are one of those people who "bet money" on everything, show me your bet slip, and how much you're betting (to the contrary of my post), since that seems to be the way you judge credibility and opinions.

Walk your talk, or STFU

I get it, you're a big fan of Pereira.

As is anyone, who prefers following repeated and consistent Championship Success, the past decade, across multiple weight divisions, and across multiple combative platforms.

I "get it" also ... you're a fan of the guy who tapped out to Paul Craig, a man who has NEVER one Championship, who DREW with the guy Pereira beat, and who has literally no significant victory on his resume, and has never beaten ANY actual Champion.

It's a difference in TASTE, and you have shit-taste in appreciating actually-proven Quality Fighters.

Hope this allows you to see straight.

Lol you mistake me, sir.

I like Poatan and I hope he wins. I just think it's ridiculous to say that Ankalaev doesn't stand a chance. Because that's ridiculous.

You should also do something about that personality. You won't last much longer with that attitude.

We are chatting shit on a karate forum. You need to chill.

I've never said Ankalaev "doesn't stand a chance"; I've said: Every single piece of evidence, regarding career-proven success, facing challenges = Alex Pereira has THE LANDSLIDE ADVANTAGE.

Hope that is clear enough.

You literally said that he is not a threat to Pereira.

That's a dumb thing to say.

My God, son, sit down and shaddap.

Thanks
Dude, I just told you what you said. You said something dumb.

FYI, I know a lot more about MMA than you do. You can act like a wanker all you want, you still said something ridiculous and you are being rightfully mocked for it.

Thinking that Pereira will win is a perfectly reasonable opinion. Thinking that it's a lopsided mismatch is not. It is biased fanboy nonsense.

If you want to pick fights with strangers on a karate forum, go right ahead. It's super cool behaviour!
