Anderson beat Saku in 2001 and Newton in 2003 and then lost to Takase in 2003, Chonan in 2004, and Okami in 2006.

Many Anderson fans argue for his big WW wins to count in his GOAT considerations and then his MW run while saying those losses should not count against him as that was not in his Prime and GOAT is about his Prime run.

Well then the WW fights don't count. Or they do, and the losses count too.

You missed the point entirely as a way to spam your Silva nuthuggery.

The point is you cannot count fights in 2001 and 2003 which were wins towards Anderson's GOAT resume and then say his entire UFC MW run also counts while then saying his losses post 2001 and 2003 and before the UFC run don't then count as the nutty Anderson fans often argue.

Thanks for correcting me, all the “facts” I’ve stated here are just off the top of my head and believe me I’m no way near as diligent and thorough in my research as I used to be. But my opinion still stands, DJ hasn’t faced the level of competition that GSP has.
In terms of Jones and his PED use, I’ve never put too much weight into the clean VS dirty athletes debate, because IMO most athletes are using anyway, some are just able to hide their usage better. Even without PEDs I believe Jones will still be where he is today, we’ll never really know though.

Fair enough. DJ is something special and so is GSP. Jones is a dirty fighter even when you take out the PEDs but for me PEDs is a major asterisk.

I can't believe that guy of all people on Sherdog told someone else to, "get a hobby", hahahahah, its always funny that the ones who double down on a illogical opinion, and incorrectly stating it as a " fact" are the ones who are unable to see the irony & hypocrisy of their statements.

You do you know you're responding to someone whose known to double down on incorrect &/or illogical subjects, simply because he believes his feelings and emotions somehow make something factual. Also somebody who likes to disguise discussion as arguments that he thinks he's good at arguing or defending of his opinions. As always you are simply making stuff up.

GSP's dominance in his title fights wins would get no less respect or value than Usman's wins. You can personally value finishes more but that does not mean others have to, thus why GSP is the GOAT of this sport and Anderson is not.

And lets not forget GSP came out of retirement to take the MW belt, when Anderson, even in his prime would never fight any of the top LHW of his day.

I mean, imagine had Gastelum got Bisping first, viscously KO'd him and then GSP went up and fought and finished the husk of Bisping, in his next fight, in the same way Anderson got Forrest and that went down as one of GSP's best wins, as it did for Anderson??? While both Bisping and Forrest had similar trajectories in their divisions, at least GSP took Bisping out at the very peak of his Prime in the midst of his best ever win streak over his biggest named opponents, also in their Primes and not like a drugged out, depressed Forrest after a brutal KO and on his way to retirement.

well I was trying to be super generous to the Anderson fanatics who are also GSP haters.

Many of them highlight GSPs losses to Hughes and Serra and say that is a strike on his GOAT resume, while they also argue Anderson's losses to Takase and Chonan should not count as that was not in his prime, and his Prime was his UFC MW run. But then the same people often want to bolster Anderson's resume by adding in his wins at WW. So I am being super generous to Anderson then in saying 'ok, well your run begins with Saku, we can pretend that is when your prime began, and those fights count but so then does losses to Takase and Chonan which came after that and before his UFC run.
