Good to see GSP continually increase his lead over the guy who went 3-5 in the cage with PED testing.

"Fedor not coming to American MMA" What kind of argument is this? Fedor is 8-1 vs UFC HWs former champs.

It's nice to see him collect some more ceremonial big wins in the twilight of his career, but he's had nine fights against UFC-caliber fights since he crossed the pond against guys while they were still UFC-roster caliber opponents.
    1. Tim Sylvia
    2. Andrei Arlovski
    3. Brett Rogers
    4. Fabricio Werdum
    5. Bigfoot Silva
    6. Dan Henderson (MW)
    7. Fabio Maldonado
    8. Matt Mitrione
    9. Ryan Bader (LHW)
    In those fights he's 4-5.

The wins against Rizzo, Mir, Monsoon, and Sonnen are nice feathers in his illustrious fedora, but all of those guys were past their UFC-worthy days when he fought them; some of them WAY past this.

That's Fedor's fault for going 3-5 in the cage with PED testing.

    Steroids though.
I wonder what kind of a shitshow this place was when he tested positive in 2007.

He started slowing down at 32 (so noticeably that his boxing coach didn't even bother denying it, and two years before his loss to Werdun) -- which interestingly enough is the standard time for athletes to start declining (as seen by Olympic medal stats, NBA and NHL MVP's and just about every sports physiology study out there).

Losses and wins at that point are much like looking at Gretzky's stats post age 34, or Muhammad Ali's, or any one of thousands of great athletes. Basically athletes stick around as long as possible, because of love of the game or of the money. In team sports that often works, they can change their roles, switching to team leadership duties when their reflexes slow too much (and reflexes start slowing in the late teens) and letting younger guys take the fast reflex duties. And some fighters can change their style when their reflexes fade -- Ali did a reasonable job, though he was never as good in his 30's as he was in his 20's.

Beyond that, humans age at different rates. You need only visit an old folks home to see that, or talk to a doctor. A great example of that is the two Roy Jones Jr vs Bernie Hopkins fights. When they fought in their late 20's RJJ won easily. When they fought in their early 40's Hopkins won easily. You could argue that RJJ was exposed as he got older (he started losing at age 34), but most would simply say he didn't age as well as Hopkins (both physiologically and because his style was reflex based, whereas Hopkin's style was more grinding and endurance ages better than reflexes).

I’m no Andy fan but seeing your enthusiasm over your favorite fighter is cool. Much better than the hateful creatures we see on here sometimes. Good for you man!

GSP because he hasn't fucked up the second half of his career.
Fedor, if he retired a few years after Pride went down (before his first real loss).
