This is true. However, in retrospect, Anderson Silva was a dirty fighter. That changes the equation in terms of history. Do you deny this?

We do know that plenty of Silva's tittle challengers took enchancing drugs, but he himself never failed a test as a champ.
Its a legit argument though, a clean GOAT ranking would certainly be different

Lol the fact Silva, MM, Aldo are on this list shows the utter cluelessness of sherdog.

These 3 where happy to just sit in average even weak divisions and cling to the belt. MM lacked a credible challenge and at the same time refused to go up... so much so could barely sell a ppv and got cut.

Izzy and Volk are levels above.

It's really between Jones, Izzy, Volk and GSP.

Scrub Jones off for being a drug cheat. Izzy is not quite there yet.

So it's between Volk and GSP.

This is more relevant in boxing where heavyweights were/are the gold standard & the lower weights needed help to get fan appreciation.

I feel like MMA has always been a lot less heavyweight-centric.
