Alex (likely) isn't worried about keyboard warriors calling him out for ducking. And even if he's ultra confident in beating Ank, there's a chance that he thinks fucking with Ank's ability to progress his career (in whatever way Alex can actually do that) is a better "comeback" to Ank and Ali than giving Ank what he wants.

If he isn't trolling and he is serious and avoids him by going to HW or, worse, he is forced to fight him and loses, it isn't keyboard warriors who are going to ask questions about the fact that he avoided the #2 fighter in his division twice in a row (if he leaves to HW) or once (if he fights and loses).

I don't think Poatan is ducking, nothing in his career gives evidence of that, so I think he is trolling or trying to get under Ank's skin (I hope so at least).
