Alex Pereira can beat Ankalaev stylistically and not a bad match for Poatan hence ducking him is unnecessary

Ankalaev doesn´t wrestle and he told Poatan I won´t wrestle you hence Poatan avoiding him is just basically unnecessary ducking really?

Alex Pereira can absolutely finish Ankalaev standing as the fight will be only stand-up. If Pereira was ducking Chimaev I would have understood but he is running away from a Striker in Ankalaev this is even worse and baffling.

If both Mareb and Jon Jones man´ed and Pereira can too

This is one of the very few good things of the promotion based model MMA has, fight has to happen at this point, who else is he going to fight?

PS: Im not saying Pereira is ducking, just that it seems Anklaev wants the fight when he wants the fight, and it things dont work that way.

Id give the edge to Poatan but this fight must happen either way.

Yup. Ank needs to stop dicking around and accept the fight when its offered regardless of date/location. He's the challenger after all.
the champion doesnt really get to choose where he fights either.

Anderson Silva would go to other motherfuckers backyards all the time to fight them.

Agree but its the UFC doing the ducking not Alex.

They need to fight in neutral ground in vegas, Fuck Abu Dabi

No they really dont need to fight in neutral ground. It's not that serious.

But UFC isnt so much catering to Ankalaev's preference as just that it might be a convenient card to put him on.

I doubt Poatan gives a fuck either way.

Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of framing it like it would be catering to the challenger to not do it during Ramadan which I find to be a bit silly. It’s not catering, it should be about finding a suitable date/location for both participants. The champ fighting the #1 contender should be the priority.

Could you imagine of there was some champ who was 7th day Adventist. No one would be OK with them not fighting on Saturdays. Ramadan is dumb just fight.
