Rewatch 17 years ago, Hong Man Choi had Fedor scared

So this was a scary fight for Fedor? The guy was a kickboxer, not an MMA fighter. He couldn't even knock out Kaoklai Kaennorsing in K-1 and Kaoklai was 5'9 175lbs.
Ray Sefo and Musashi couldn't knock him out either, guess they're cans too?

Schilt weighed under 260lbs for that fight, HMC was 360lbs.
This is a legitimate point. @HHJ why did you focus on the height when the weight difference was so severe?

Imagine Jon Jones or Anderson getting a fucking layup in their prime like this 😂
HMC was a dangerous guy before his brain surgery.

Pre-brain surgery - his pituitary gland tumour was giving a sort of natural super strength and he was 360lbs.

Post-brain surgery in June 2008 he ended up losing 40lbs of muscle and couldn't win a fight but everyone just looks at fight finder and thinks he was a can.

Fighting a 7'2" MMA fighter who weighs well over 300 lbs would not be a layup for anyone, Jon included.

This is a physical approximation of how Jon would look next to prime HMC

Look how freaked out he is by the slight size advantage Aspinall has over him.

Yep, about as logically sound as your argument.
That sub wasnt even locked in all the way and Anderson immediately starts tapping when he hits the ground. It was fixed.

If you listened properly, you'd understand that the few fixes were in very early Pride. Silva's losses to Chonan and Takase were not scripted or fake. Takase steamrolled Anderson on the ground for 10 straight minutes until the sub. Chonan was arguably winning the standup before nailing the scissor leg.

Go listen to he and others again, and you should be able to understand things better.
So, Anderson gets beat in the standup to Chonan, but then goes to UFC and wins 14 of his next 16 fights by finish? The second they went to the ground Silva just starts tapping. Not even a fully locked in sub and he's done.

The kneebar was certainly locked in.

LOL @ thinking that was coordinated.

I'm very skeptical Ryo fucking Chonan could beat Anderson everywhere and then immediately Anderson turns into a certified killer all of a sudden.

That's becsuse you're an imbecile who doesn't understand how joint lock submissions work. The 0-60mph speed of pain you feel when a heel hook is slapped on is impossible to comprehend unless you've felt it before.

Imagine thinking Ryo Chonan can handle a killer like prime Anderson in a legit fight

You think Anderson silva couldn't beat a pro wrestler that couldn't beat anyone as a -1500 favorite when the opponent was managed by the actual yakuza who owned pride.... and I'm the silly one... got it.

Luckily Anderson didn't fire his management and even threaten them with shot guns and leave the team....

Dude I'm not even being a Silva spawn... pride had soo many fixed fights literally just find out of a actor was involved fixed.

Another way of looking at that is:

Anderson Silva couldn't win a belt in Japan, but as soon as he came to America and started working for the local Vegas mafiosos, he was unbeatable. Crazy how that worked out.
