Sapp actually wasnt in Pride for very long. He mostly fought in K-1 and HeroesToo bad we never got Bob Sapp vs Fedor in Pride

I believe there was even special rules like HMC couldn't knee or something too, don't think any other Fedor fight had rules like that
Yeah that's kinda weak sauce as that was clearly only going to disadvantage HMC
In that instance FEdor was helped by the same russian maffia that helped him dodge Ubereem and the entire UFC.
I’m pretty sure the Yaranoka! org was using Pride rules, where if there’s a significant weight advantage knees to the head were disallowed. I believe Vitor/Heath Herring had that rule in place when they fought at heavyweight in Pride, just as an example.
Another one was the Nogueira vs. Sapp fight, where PRIDE rules were modified. Nogueira was significantly smaller than Sapp and requested a special rule to ban knee strikes to the head of a grounded opponent. This was done due to the large size disparity and to protect Nogueira from Sapp's power.
Didnt know that...that changes things in retrospect maybe HMC could have been the guy to dethrone Fedor but it was a safety thing for these freakshow fights.
Still remembering the time when Fedor was seen an unstoppable machine, never be times like those.
Because the weight disparity was over 100 lbs. It was probably something, even the japanese couldnt do with whatever semblance of athletic comissions they had there.
HMC was never in a position to throw 4 point knees anyway
Semmy is six ten and Fedor took him down with ease. Sounds like Duh Magazine doesn't really think about its own opinions.Because he's 7 feet tall?
I read about this in DUH magazine.

Yep. It might be a japanese comission thing tbh. I wonder if they did that in K1-heroes.I’m pretty sure the Yaranoka! org was using Pride rules, where if there’s a significant weight advantage knees to the head were disallowed. So you got his height wrong the first time and now you're insisting like an idiot that it's his 4 inches of height that made a difference and not his legendary wrestling career?HMC is 7 2
DO THE MATH
Yeah, but Choi was also pretty heavily muscled. A super tall, jacked Asian dude is super rare. I realize he was in orgs like K-1 which didn't test for PEDs.There is one bigger
They don't make em like they used toFor reference, the PRIDE rule was if a fighter was outweighed by 15 kg, then it was their call whether to allow knees to the head, soccer kicks, and stomps. The best was Cro Cop always allowing it because he knew he'd be the one using those strikes on his bigger opponents![]()

After HMC escaped the first armbar, Fedor's face was like: "wtf am I gonna do now?". When he got the second armbar attempt he was fist-pumping like "well I'm glad that's over".
Oh, I didn't realize you knew that based on the way you kept doing it. You don't seem like someone who thinks about their ideas.
Since Choi fought Jose Canseco, this is a good opportunity to show the only known recorded foot race between two MMA competitors: Canseco and Herschel Walker. Gotta love Canseco starting the race like he's about to steal a base. Walker was an athletic freak in his prime (long before MMA).
