Why do Actors exaggerate their Heights? (Pics included)

Sad to see successful actors being so insecure about height of all things. You can't change it, and it's not like it's your fault or choice (like having bad manners, bad hygiene, being a dick etc). His posture and astronaut boots make him look even sillier.

That said, i don't know if i would be insecure or feeling the need to compensate because of my height if i was much shorter (i'm of average height - 180-181cm so in between 5 foot 11 and 6 feet).

I'd say its more common with men personally as evidence by how much the topic comes up on Sherdog, the vast majority of women in my experience don't demand a big height difference, the preference is probably more 2-3 inches taller. Its pretty common to see short women with short men in my experience.

Political leaders have just as much potential as actors to exaggerate their height, most public addresses are setup to make the person giving them seem taller and more important.

I mean to be fair as well I think "manlet" on Sherdog is also a bit of an in joke that became popular because it triggers certain peoples insecuries so easily ala dick size.

Height is I believe one of the few things(not stuff like hand/foot size) that does relate somewhat to dick size but even then I suspect its rather weaker than expectation.

Hardly anyone understands how height works and just throws numbers around, a legit 6'2" guy is actually really tall and will be taller than 80% of people.

I have a friend who is 6'9" and he literally towers everyone, even on the rare occasion a guy who is 6'4" or 6'5" comes by he is clearly taller, I at 6 feet feel tiny next to him.

My sister is 5'6" - 5'7" and tells everyone she is 5'4", it's hilarious when manlets at 5'8" say they are 5'10" and over and she is eye level to them.

Also pictures are terrible at measuring heights, so inconsistent and never make sense.

I don't know enough about the subject to say, but I thought pretty much all porn actresses were supposed to be tiny, like 4'11-5'4" to make the actors' dongs look bigger?
I'm pretty sure most of them aspired to be models in their vanity, but were either too short (I'm pretty sure most legit fashion models are 5'8" and up, probably an average of 5'9"-5'10"), not attractive enough, or both. I doubt most Instagram models are over 5'6" either, but again I don't know enough to say (I just quickly scroll over what JadeOwl spams the GIF thread with), maybe there's some sort of search engine to validate both of these.

Although honestly I think more high end modelling isn't always after "good looking" women so much as women with a unique look to them as well of course as being beanpole thin and as you say tall. Many women who get into softcore porn/glamour modeling especially are actually a lot more attractive than your typical catwalk model from my point of view anyway.
