I absolutely despise these threads and the pieces of shit that post in them. The reason people know vicious pits is because you know lowlife shits that don’t raise their dog properly.
I have stated many times and will state again that I own a very successful dog walking and pet sitting company that sees three pits. I would gladly put any child of any age in front of those dogs unattended. Why? Because the owners are not piece of shit human beings who raise their dogs properly.
Pits can be fantastic family dogs if it isn’t ghetto thugs, trailer trash or negligent owners who own them and raise them to be vicious.
I made the decision to end the life of two older dogs with very little chance of being rehoused. One had bad back legs due to age, the other was brutally violent with other dogs. They lasted well over 10 and had an exceptional life, why on earth would I send the poor things at that age to battersea dog shelter, where there's already pitbulls oozing out of the cages due to the breeds issues.
The decision to put them to sleep was a no brainer, they had no happy life living in a shelter at 11 and 13.
You are not allowed to walk down the street with a knif on you but you are allowed to walk down the street with a dangerous dog that can kill anyone on command. Makes sense.
That's why we have less killings than you over there. The only places where people get stabbed and robbed is where there are a certain kind of people, and we usually avoid them and their places. You can't carry in knife where you live? I could carry a katana around in AZ if I wanted to.
My only concern (outside of the general intrusion of government even further) is all the breeds far more capable of killing men. They will simply fill the void amongst undesirables looking for a tough breed. Ovcharkas, Presas, Dogos, Cane Corsos, etc. Larger breeds with surprising strength and speed. You guys think APBTs are bad? Just wait until larger and more capable (and less personable in many cases) breeds are all the rage. You would end up having to regulate all manstoppers. A more reasonable approach may be to regulate the breeding and neutering of non-breeding animals. Uncut males are especially hazardous.Germany already has this largely figured out. It's not rocket science but Americans treat it like it's some kind of issue you can't approach. Germany is seeing a 70% decrease in bites from those dogs.

That would be a shitty place to live in where one could go around with a katana on his back and a gun on his waist. But of course people don't or else there would be people being killed everyday.
If you take ownership of an animal you should care for it.
Why would it make a difference? Well if the animal was bred as a pet and someone choose to kill it, not care for it properly, throw it away, etc it could have bought/adopted by someone that would have cared for it properly as a pet.
There is a distinction imo and if you don't agree
I don't care.
Katanas? The area I live in the murder rate is low, 1 per 100k or less (less most years), similar to European countries and people carry all over the place here.
Katanas?

You and Bill Burr both, although he just gave his away.I had two of these creatures.
Same old story (lovely dogs)
One day the boy got ahold of a Badger and mauled it to death, the display of power was fucking scary. Once my wife pushed out our first kid, I took them both down the vets and they got the needle.
Ultimately the decision was based off the safety of a child. Not the age or health. I felt it was necessary to elaborate on the indepth details of the situation because of the reply. Would i have attempted to rehome younger dogs? Sure, but seeking a new home would have an expiry date. That's a way different story than your first post implied. You really came off like a lazy dick that found a heartless vet to kill your dogs for you.
You and Bill Burr both, although he just gave his away.
Bill was and still is a HUGE outspoken lover of Pit Bulls. He went nonstop about how they are misunderstood and the best dogs. He called most people hating on Pits liars and stat manipulators and saying his Pit is a marvelous animal that was well trained and would not attack for no reason. For like 6 years every podcast he went on about how great they were.
But as soon as his wife was due to have a baby, he agonized over it and KNEW he had to get rid of his Pit. Stating truthfully that the dog he talks about in his podcasts is not really his dog. That it had tried to attack his parents, attacked friends and probably would have torn a child apart. Said It was a ticking time bomb and he knew it.
The truth is on most pro Pitbull sites, while in the public sections, the Pit specialists talk the SJW game about how awesome Pits are. But in the training sections where people ask for help, you see the words "Euthanize" and "crate and rotate or get rid of one dog because you cannot train dog aggression out of pits born with it"
