Now that we've seen what we've seen are you convinced either way?

Bank they'll rematch at some point.

The more days past, the less flukey the win becomes. And if you didn't think it was flukey at all that was a serious ass kicking he imparted

Good insight in this one :

Irrelevant. They won't fight again. Vera is a mid level fighter who will give us some nice entertainement, but ultimately his record will be spotty as hell. Win-loss-win-loss record like Jim Miller.

O'malley will go on a nice run and maybe break into top 5, but if he doesn¨t make some serious strength training adjuments, he too will lose alot of fights. If he does focus more on strength training he moves up to FW.

Thus a rematch with these two will never happen. It wasn't even a war or something like that.

I can see Chito adjusting to O’malley’s garbage ground game.

Chito prolly mixes takedown attempts into his combos, and either subs or tko’s him again on the ground.

O’malley off his back was so bad it was kinda fucked up, it literally took Chito 2 seconds to set the finish up

mannnnn. The fact that O'Malley was even ranked before Vera is such a joke. All the casual fanboys whining that their boy didn't beat an honest, serious contender at BW is honestly insulting. Who the fuck even wants to see that rematch? O'Malley got finished in one. If anything, he circles around the outside for 3 rounds, feints a lot of nothing, and loses again to Vera.

There's literally zero need for this fight right now. Let Marlon fight a top 10 guy like Stamann and let O'Malley rebound with a middle of the pack bantam like Rany Yahya

he's Hype but that doesn't mean he doesn't bring in good cash for the company

they will attempt to rejuvenate him His next fight says a lot either way

You're missing the point here The point is O Malley is supposed to be this elite talent according mostly to him but still he did some genius self marketing there

I think he got heavily exposed and Vera is going to own his ass the next time Let's see how stupid Sean is if he's going to pine for a rematch like he says He really don't want that

I don't think O'Malley sucks I think he's legit but we don't know his ceiling. And yes he's overestimating his capabilities of course.

Vera win is 100% legit, but then if they both get some quality wins during the next year why not a rematch.

Let's be real, O'Malley wins easy unless another freak injury

Anyone saying Chito here is lying to themselves. I don't even like O'Malley, but Sherdog's reaction to his loss is absurd.

No need for it, let Chito move forward. They will both move forward and rematch at some point when they're more accomplished. Anyone one who says O'Malley would've owned Chito is an idiot. The people that actually know Chito, know it was never going to be an easy fight for O'Malley. He did got injured, but he also got clocked very fast on the ground. He should've at least been able to make it to the end of the round, to let his corner or doctor stop it.

if a rematch happens it won't be for a while. If they both go on winning a few in a row they might run it back, but for now there way up for both them is fighting someone else.

Can't disagree more

Vera is contention worthy

Looking forward to bumping this

You don't know what you're watching. The "freak injury" was nothing more than a numbed foot, caused by Vera kicking the peroneal nerve, which caused him to start flopping around like a Baby Deer. Vera beats him 10/10. Just a better, tougher, more skilled fighter.

It's like watching Canelo Vs Khan and saying "Yep, Khan would have beaten him if not for that freak injury to his jaw, which caused him to lose consciousness. If not for that, he would have beaten Canelo".

I think Chito stops O'malley again by TKO, though there's no need for a rematch at the moment, maybe in the future.

What are you even talking about? Vera is 10-5 in the UFC and came into the UFC at 21 or 22 years old, of course he Needs some time to develop his skill and won't be fucking unbeaten when he came into the UFC with 7 fucking pro fights.
Also you should know that records don't tell the whole story. A guy can have 50 losses and still be the GOAT in theory. That's also why guys like Fedor, Anderson or Aldo are regarded as GOATs. That's because the present doesn't change the past. A loss doesn't erase Achievements you've made.

There’s no need for rematch at this point maybe down the road they meet up again for the rematch.

Vera, the guy is veery durable, in a 5 rounder I could see O'Malley fading after the first 3 rounds without getting the finish (if his legs hold up)
