The worst part about owning a Cane Corso is trying to not sound pretentious when you correctly pronounce the breed's name. People think it's cane like candy cane, but it's more like "Kah Nay".

She loves to stand up like a person and look at things.

I really like mastiffs, especially cane corsos. They're calm, confident, simple. None of that neurotic yip yap bullshit.

Beautiful dog! I truly believe that Cane Corsos are the best dog breed out there. Mastiffs in general are amazing dogs.

That's a seriously beefed up dog.

Holy shit!?

I remember you, didn't you have a green account and a different username?

But yes after getting hardened up, he became rich and now contemplates human nature sitting in his mahogany desk and drinking a scotch!
lmao yeah i got stuck with yellow recently.

and dont forget that doge smoking a cigar!!!

Ahhh somebodys triggered

There is no unique amazing temperament specific to pitbulls. If you're literally saying you only want that breed it's obviously because of either it's look or it's "gameness". For your sake I hope it's the look.

I've been raising and rescuing these dogs for 25 years, I know more about them than you and I understand them better than you so run along and try and scare someone else

Why would anyone get their dogs ears cropped or buy a dog that's had it done? There is no way anyone can say they love dogs and then buy a dog like this or one that's had it's tail docked, it's a contradiction of terms. There has to be something wrong with a person that supports this disgusting practice. Makes me sick!
It is nothing but mutilation, and vanity on the owner's part. Dog with cropped ears do not look 'tough' they look ridiculous.

My dog is 50% Boston Terrier, 25% Parson Russell Terrier, and 25% Japanese Chin. Crazy mix, came from a shelter in Pennsylvania. He's smart as hell and super athletic. He has a Boston mask but a longer snout, long legs, and a build kind of like a muscular whippet. Even at 20 pounds, he actually outruns Aussie Cattle Dogs and Aussie Shepherds at the park. Plus he catches frisbees, and he's easily trainable. I think the breeds must have mixed just right for him to have all the best characteristics. So he's my favorite.

I also like Aussie cattle dogs, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, and Patterdale Terriers. But I think I tend to prefer mixed breed dogs.
Pics please!!!

greyhound-adoption.jpg

the best breed for an apartment dweller with a full time job IMO.

Benefits:
  • Quiet.
  • Sleeps 20 hours a day. Will basically zone out in a coma while you're at work.
  • Affectionate and eager to play. Extremely gentle with people.
  • Clean and tidy.
Downsides:
  • Very sensitive to cold.
  • High prey drive towards small animals.

Always thought it was interesting how one of the most athletic breeds out is so mellow.

Ive got a german wirehaired pointer , and in typical hunting dog fashion , hes very Athletic and not at all mellow . I have a 3/4 acre wooded / fenced lot for him to run and that isn't enough to keep him chill . Just got back from a brisk 12 minute 5k around the hood on the bike with him.

Dog breeds is fiction. More like inbreds.
This is a pretty strong opinion. Care to elaborate. Im a dog owner (pure breds) not looking to argue to just talk.

My dog looks great with her tail docked and ears cropped. You just sound like a giant pussy and I couldn't care less about your opinion.

In fact, it makes me want to go cut off more puppy ears and tails.

Let me introduce you to my favorite breed of dog. His name is Jackson.

Until the victorian era, dogs were just dogs, no labels, no breeds. Then it became a hobby at the time to match certain characteristics to create what was called breeds.

In short, they're just canis familiaris, breeds are just extreme genetic selection.
But I'm no breed hater. In fact breeds have predictable behaviour, which is desirable when you're looking for a house dog or a work dog.

I wrote the previous post in a shitty mood, don't that take seriously.

Labradors are nice dogs.

I have a Borador - a mix between a border collie and a black lab. Mix in size as well, so bigger than a collie but smaller than a lab.

She is very smart.. she is just basically a black lab with a weirder personality. Would never want a straight border collie - they seem like they are weird lol

My buddy is coming back from Russia with a puppy kangal (no idea how he got it)
But that's my favorite dog breed

I love Rotties but their generally short life span is a complete bummer. Thinking of an Australian cattle dog, or mix, the next mutt I get. Or some kind of molosser mix.
