Funny thing is that the all black German Shepherds have the hardest time getting adopted among that breed

Weird. Probably because when people think of German Shepherds, they think of the typical brown and black coat. Black labs are super popular. I think a black German Shepherd would look awesome. I haven’t ever seen an all black one though, at least not to my knowledge.

This was our dog Flora. A Norwich terrier. She was the best, sweetest dog anyone could ever imagine. She started having seizures when she was 14. We had to put her down at 15 when they got too frequent and severe. My wife and I were so devastated. She was such a loving dog. I have never had or seen a better dog.

Id love a rotty but they require more time and effor and our family cannot give that to one.

Husky dad, here.

They're awesome once they get out of the "chew up all your shit" phase.

And they shed like crazy.

Still, they're super loveable dogs.

The trade-off is worth it, IMO

2X Husky Dad here as well. And yes, as soon as they get out of the destructive phase they are awesome family pets, super lovable. Plus their striking appearance is just something to behold. The confidence they carry is quite something too. The only draw back to the two I've had is that no matter how lovable they were, and gentle they were to every person they ever met, they ABSOLUTELY hated smaller animal. It was nothing to see them annihilate a family of rabbits, or kill a cat.

I do feel they get a bad rep for being hard to train, I really dont think that's the case, both of my boys are incredibly obedient. I think Huskies are just super confident, and there are times they believe that thier plan is better than their owner.

In all honesty, it's how they were bred to be, when a musher tells them to cross thin ice (or any other hazard), the Huskies job is to stop even though they are told to continue. Huskies have the confidence and intelligence to do thier own thing when they know it's the better choice.

My buddy is an Aussie/Sheltie mix and he's such a good dog. Vocal but damn near a perfect. Just turned 7 and has almost the same (absurd) amount of energy he did as a puppy.

My friend has one. 1 years old about 120lbs of cute puppy and lovable as heck. Still thinks its 40lbs which sucks because it gets excited quickly and knocks things or ppl over on accident.

even full grown adult bernese will charge at you for play/love as if they were still a 40lbs pup. they are the biggest goofballs in the dog world as far as i’m concerned.
