Television Yellowjackets - TV show

This show looks interesting to me. Not sure where to stream it though. I'm not going to pay for another service to watch it though. Already have HBO, Amazon, Netflix, and Disney. Probably have to get another month of Apple to watch season 3 of Ted Lasso soon too.

It looked good to me too. Started out good and then started getting woke. Random characters being gay for no apparent reason other than to just feature their sexuality to please the weirdos that think that is important.

After a while I just stopped watching it because the second half of the season wasn't really what the trailer and initial episodes sold me on.

How did you get on with S3 of Lasso? Shrinking?

I actually haven't watched it yet. I'm going to get my apple tv here in the next few days I think. Ted Lasso and Silo. Shriking looks pretty interesting as far as the concept goes for sure

S4 might be happening which is a dream come true for me. Roy Kent (not same character) is in S2 of Shrinking which is another dream come true.

I watched through Season 2. I started to get bored with the present day stuff though. I enjoy the stuff in the woods far better than the BS in the present day. I started to really not even care about the present day people.

Yeah, the 2nd season was not great

Currently re-watching season 2 in prep for the upcoming new season.

Season 2 was a bit of a chore to get through, so I'm really hoping season 3 can be at least on par with season 1. That first season was some good shit.

I forgot about this show, need to check where I got up to last.

I saw a Q&A the cast did and Melanie Lynskey said she wouldn't have taken the role if she wasn't reassured the showrunners had a plan. She didn't want to do it if they were writing episodes on the fly and not knowing where they were going. Hopefully that turns out to be true.

Also, Juliette Lewis was really angry. I got the gist she had a lot of personal trauma and going to such dark places with her character hit close to home. She may have been promised that wasn't going to be the case and felt betrayed.

Samantha Hanratty and Christina Ricci are both really entertaining as past and present Misty. Vanessa getting her face ripped in half and sown up better than a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon could have was ridiculous.

It's not a great show, but I like it so far. By the end I hope they tie all the story elements together and give us answers that make sense.

Anyone watch Season 3? The present day stuff has just become pointless IMO. I got paramount for a month and binged it and just watched the plane crash timeline. It got REALLY dark in some places. The season was overall really odd, not bad, but odd. I won't put any spoilers in here for now

Since my girl Juliette, I'm not really having any thrall. I adore Melanie as an actress and even she isn't bringing me back. Husband is the same.

I was surprised they got rid of Juliette and Ella Purnell. I guess Ricci and Melanie are somewhat well known too but I assumed those 2 would star for the entire series. Guest role for another girl who made it out alive was late in season 3 - Hillary Swank.

Didn't know she was in it. I just lost interest, Juliette was my favourite actress for years, even met her after her doing a West End theater show. I don't know, it just lost legs. Ricci's quirk just ran out of steam maybe?
