Television Yellowjackets - TV show

The chubby woman is like a chubby Colby Smulders with assymmetrical boobs.
Her boy toy is the guy who got the glitter ransom. I would have guessed the lesbo wounded GF would have been eaten this episode.

The crash site is seeming like some mystical supernatural place like the island in Lost.
Yeah I'm getting more and more Lost vibes from it now, and not in a good way. There's a ton of things that have been brought up now, no real sense of progression in understanding any of it, frustrating pacing overly reliant on twists, and the answer is going to be island magic with a shitload of more interesting red herrings. It's very "week to week, season to season" writing. It's made for good moments, but it's already feeling tedious with no payoff in sight.

It's got just enough unanswered questions to make you want to watch more. Young Nat needs to show her boobs. Old Nat looks like crazy old lady.

If it already hasn't been posted, I think that that the masked guy who is blackmailing the surviving members is Travis' younger brother.

-He is the right age
-He carved Shauna the wooden wolf and gave it to her (sign that he liked her?)
-He is Travis' family member, and thus, would be one of the few people who could access and empty Travis' bank accounts
-Travis was a dick to the younger brother, and maybe the pent up anger made him murder Travis and stage it to look like a suicide

I'm loving the show so far, and I normally have difficulty keeping up with TV series. This is one of the few exceptions where I really look forward to the next episode.

PS: Juliette Lewis deserves an Emmy for being such a convincing burnout.

Very good theory. He seemed to like art at the crash site.

I've seen a fully nude pic of Lewis with a famous photographer holding her off the floor with his dick inside of her. I'm guessing her acting isn't much of a stretch.

I think the ending of the last episode established it was the dude Shauna rear ended that she is having an affair with.

Yeah, my post is thinking the guy Shauna is having an affair with is Travis's brother.

Can't wait for Sunday.

Ps: I'm reading a book called "The hunger", which is about the Donner Party and having to resort to cannibalism. It's a great read for those who like shows like Yellow Jackets.

Problem with this is, even though it holds up as a theory, it doesn't add anything to the narrative. We wouldn't feel betrayed by a person we trust, we wouldn't feel sadness in a fall from grace, we wouldn't feel a sense of justice being served or a tragedy in seeing a bad thing happen to good people because the universe is uncaring and meaningless.

It would be a twist for the sake of having a twist. Leaving breadcrumbs to follow is nice because you feel rewarded as a viewer, but it doesn't mean much without providing an emotional context to care about the discovery being made.

Isn't it pretty far fetched that Shauna woundn't recognize the brother?

Are we supposed to know/suspect that it was either Shauna's husband or her daughter that did the blackmailing and stole from the safe because there was glitter in the closest? I didn't see the glitter myself but someone who also saw the show said there was glitter in the closet.

Liked this a lot starting in. As the episodes go further I'm liking it less though. I love these apocalyptic /survivor /group psychosis themes.

The relentless switching to the flashbacks though..

I prefer the flashbacks rather than the present day story. Wish it could have been mostly that.

The kid was younger than the soccer team, so he had more time to change his appearance as he grew older.

I think they are implying the fake artist affair loser guy was the blackmailer because he was hiding in the closet when husband came home. Maybe some glitter got stuck in his pee hole and didn't all come out during sexual relations.

The penultimate episode of this season wasn't bad at all. Hopefully the finale will top it...

Seems more and more like it's not Travis' brother but rather a guy who was after money instead.

Surprised only one ep left and they didn't go deep into the cannibalism.

They fooled me with the glitter in the closet.

Shauna kills an innocent guy and shows not one iota of remorse? She had a relationship with him on top of that. Pretty weird.

Anyone in? Watching the second episode and it's flippin great.
YELLOWJACKETS
Wildly talented high school girls' soccer players descend into savage clans after their plane crashes in the remote northern wilderness. Twenty-five years later, they discover that what began in the wild is far from over.
Just watched the first episode, and I'm all in. It's great so far.

Shauna killed an innocent guy. She had an affair with him. She was convinced husband was having an affair. He wasn't.

Still her husband wants to claim he committed the murder to the police?

Did Shauna ever ask Jeff about Travis death? I missed it she did.

Who murdered Travis and why?

It's ridiculous for sure.
