Switching to Sony but keeping my Xbox. For me this generation of Xbox games we’re really disappointing.

I've been wondering what their plan is with that as well.
I'm guessing it'll be case by case, and they'll avoid laying out a specific policy because then customers will hold them to it. I don't have a firm number in my mind, but I'm not going to buy a PS5 for just one game that won't come to PC; and I probably won't for 2 games either. 3 though? Maybe. I also don't mind waiting for 1 year to play a game, maybe even 2 but more than that can sway me and so on.

I typically don't double dip on versions of games so if a game is going to come to PC at all I'm probably going to wait for it. I can't actually remember ever having bought a game twice with the exception of Bayonetta because it ran so poorly on PS3 that I wound up getting it on 360.

This is what I suspect as well. The surprising thing to me is that it would seem smarter to just upgrade PSnow and start releasing your games on there. Maybe not right away but eventually. I think the infrastructure cost of doing that though is something they don't want to invest in right now.

I may just buy Sonic Adventure 2 for Xbox One and spend the rest of my life raising and racing Chao...

Both. Xbox first then the PS5 when some exclusives that interest me come out.

"I'll just wait for another 10 years for the next gens to come out because i have the original xbox i've been playing since 2001 right now, and that keeps me entertained."

Not really on topic but I actually just got a PS4 after playing Xbox 360 since 2007. So I'm pretty pumped that I've got an entire library of games available, and for cheap. I'll be entertained with this for a few years before eventually deciding which way to go for the next generation.

Switch out your hard drive with a ssd one. Makes a big difference. Is it as fast as the new ssds in the upcoming consoles? No. But it is much better than your standard hard drive.

I was going to move to Sony when the PS5 was supposed to come out because of how awful the exclusive issue was but Spencer has really turned things around with his Game Pass vision.

Doesr ms have a reputation for buying and killing studios?

I got a ps4 pro(and switched out the hard drive for an ssd) in may so i dont see myself buying a new console anytime soon. Covid has gottne me gaming for the first time in 15 years lol.

Been xbox for 15 years, aint gonna change now. Last time I owned a PS was high school

I'll be getting both. For exclusives and such.

Who else?

I was, then I saw the portable Steam system, and it seems pretty awesome as well.

PS5 and PC for me. I'll mainly use the PC but the PS5 is there for MP games and whatever I get tired of waiting to come to PC if ever.

i don't play them, but i do buy my kids consoles. i buy them playstations. i still have an original working ps2,3, and 4. i went thru 5 xbox 360s with the red ring when i was younger. playstation has had in box rechargeable controllers since 2007. xbox in 2021 still doesn't. its an external purchase. in modern time i rarely purchase anything that requires batteries. if it cannot be recharged via usb i will not use it. even my TV remote is USB rechargeable. hardware is generally the same even tho fanboys will argue for either being more powerful. i personally like the xbox user interface better than ps5. xboxs seems to be more responsive. better indie games on ps5.

As a lifelong Playstation guy who recently bought a Series S because I couldn't get a PS5 I have 5o say the best thing about the Xbox is the replaceable batteries. The ability to swap them out in a few seconds and have a full charge is awesome. You just have to buy rechargeable ones.

buying batteries is a thing of the past. this isnt 1995. "best thing about the Xbox is the replaceable batteries. The ability to swap them out in a few seconds and have a full charge is awesome. You just have to buy rechargeable ones." i dont have to swap shit out with a ps5. those few seconds replacing batteries every other day over 5 years adds up. the best thing about the xbox is the replacable batteries ROFL. PS5 has no batteries. they adapted with modern times 14 years ago. the charging station for my sons xbox 1 broke 3 times. batteries went limp. had to replace. spent upwards of 80 dollars keeping up with rechargable batteries. xbox is a money sink. spend 500 dollars on a console then have to go spend an extra 100-200 for accesories is ridiculous.

I have an Xbox and a Nintendo Switch. My main Switch controller charges via USB C and doesn't have a removable battery pack and My Xbox takes removable batteries and I like that way better, because when my switch controller dies I'm forced to be tethered to the charger if I want to continue playing.

Neither is really a deal breaker, but Xbox Controller+AA rechargeable batteries >Playstaion Controller with non removable battery pack. The batteries in those rechargable controllers also lose their charge over time as well.
