Agreed. Thats why they should book him vs Islam now. Islam took zero damage, had no weight cut and Ramadan is not until Feb. Of course Islam will now sit on the title and wait to fight in July. He won't fight because of Ramadan so that 1 month religious observance will kill the division further and they will angle to set up Islam with Usman.

He is a great fighter but all the angling sucks for the sport. So they will try to force Shavkat to fight again and possibly lose his deserved title shot. He is at the front of the line and gets an injury and then because the line gets cut by Islam he has to wait and then because Islam wants to stall some more he has to wait and then people say Fuck Shavkat for waiting?

Its like the Aspinall situation. Who was Tom supposed to fight when he is the Interim Champion and the "Undisputed" belt holder isn't vacating and isn't signing to fight him but plays along that he is negotiating until the UFC are forced to strip him. There is no logical fight for Tom to take, he wasn't offered other fights and the Undisputed is the only thing he can fight for but Jon stalled that out yet some chirp about Tom being inactive.

Who should Shavkat fight that isn't the champion? The answer is nobody. He should be booked to fight Islam and they should do it before Ramadan. Fuck this fighting Kamaru. Islam defended LW against 1 top 5 LW and now he wants the WW version of Stipe?
