Law Woman sues the Military for being too old to join the Military

Some people just don't get it.

"recruiters were quick to urge her to use her legal skills in the military’s Judge Advocate General."

Girl you're a lawyer, you want to join the Navy? Do lawyer stuff for the Navy.

One of my coworkers had this crazy friend years ago in LA who was an aspiring actress.

Attractive but a hot mess mentally. Had an agent, auditioned all the time, never got a big break.

So she's in her early 40s and her agent calls her super excited, he was working with a showrunner on a network legal drama.

She'd have a juicy part in one episode as a tough but hot middle aged lawyer, and if the producers liked her they would write her in for a season long arc as a love interest for a middle aged male main character.

She is offended beyond belief. How could they judge her like this? She thinks at 42 she should only be playing 28-34 year old main characters and this no audition part that's a straight up job offer for a supporting character role bigger than anything she's ever been in is an insult to her.

I think the agent dumped her as a client after she turned it down.
What a dumbass 😆🤣

- I'm pretty sure she cant pass the basic training to became a firefighter or fire-brigadist. Would sue them also?

It happens here in the states.
- I get when some person passe the physical tests, and cant join the police of firefighters, because of some arbitarity, like or military police here in SC is 30 years old, so if you're un shape, pass the test, but you're 34, you cant join.

But what are the chances of a 45 years old woman passing the tests to become a SEAL? I think she wants to get hurt and sue them

She got tired of the lawyer life and mainly just wanted to become the first female SEAL at that age? It's good to have dreams but I think she might need a little perspective lol.
- I wanted to be a Power Ranger stunt-double, but i kind had to get a grip that i wasnt athletic or talented enought to be one.

Reynolds, who is representing herself in her Brooklyn Federal Court age-discrimination case against the US Navy, claimed she was “sworn into” the Navy in Brooklyn in 2018 but “was never assigned anywhere or deployed.”
Reynolds filled out “enlistment paperwork” in 2019, according to the Navy, which had “no record of service” for her.

She then moved to Utah where she worked as a lawyer and revisited her enlistment in 2020. But she was was arrested in July 2020 for allegedly driving under the influence, a misdemeanor which was dismissed in 2023, court records show.
She returned to Long Island and again chased her dreams of joining the SEALs, but found recruiters were quick to urge her to use her legal skills in the military’s Judge Advocate General.
She claims recruiters told her that “age waivers were always obtainable.”
“I was really gearing up to participate in the pipeline process, really taking all the right steps to proceed with the application,” she said. But the app “was not submitted” by recruiters and “unjustifiably delayed,” she claimed.

The US Navy officials failed to advance Amanda S. Reynolds’ application, then told her in the fall that she would no longer qualify for Naval Officer Training Command in Newport, RI, because she’d be over the age limit of 42 by the time she graduated, according to court papers.

She's delusional if she believes the Navy will seek Seals at that age.
By the time she finishes Basic Training, Tech School, and Officer Training, she'll be 46 years old. There's a reason why Military Recruiters poach teenagers from high school when they're 17 years old.
I’m 40 and have thrown my back out for absolutely unknown reasons. Couldn’t imagine putting my carcass through BUDs

I had a coworker throw his back out from sneezing a few years back. I thought that was the most ridiculous thing in the world. Until it happened to me, not funny anymore.

If I’m hurt, I generally can suss out why (lifting, holding pads, skating) but this was the first time I had no idea.

Running theory is I sleep walk and fight crime at night

"found recruiters were quick to urge her to use her legal skills in the military’s Judge Advocate General.'

This seems like a reasonable response

However, what really is the harm in letting her try.

I cant image at 42 anyone is up for SEAL training. Shell wash out immediately and if not, train the super soldier?

I think spots are limited 🤔

good thing she isn't black or trans.

How do you know that?
Scientists have thoroughly debunked the idea of racial differences. So you don’t know if she’s black or not.
Also, you should never assume someone’s gender. She may or may not be trans.

I’m going to report you to the Sherdog HR department.
