I send my kid to a 100% publicly funded Catholic school, and they teach creation along with many other tales from the bible. It is extremely common here probably like 1/3 kids are enrolled in a Catholic school. It is not anti science like how you are describing though, it is simply another class taught along side everything you would normally take.

I appreciate the honest response. I believe you but I would have to see the actual curriculum and the extent to which evolution is taught. Also, I'm not saying it has to be anti-science but the notion creationism isn't taught at all is nonsense.

I have no doubt there are places like yours where it's just a separate class but I also have no doubt there are places where it's advocated over evolution, which is also mentioned in the article. I also know some kids that were never even taught evolution through high school.

Catholic school is totally different from Evangelicals. Catholics see no conflict between science and Christianity. There's an official Vatican Astronomer, even.

They aren't teaching young-earth creationism or that the Earth is flat or arguing against evolution or any of that plainly wrong shit.

According to the website, the head of the organization is “Akiea ‘Ki’ Gross (they/them)” who “is an abolitionist early educator, cultural organizer and creator currently innovating ways to resist, heal, liberate and create with their pedagogy, Woke Kindergarten.”

"I believe the United States has no right to exist. I believe every settler colony who has committed genocide against native peoples, against Indigenous people, has no right to exist,” Gross said in a recent Instagram post. “Y’all the demons. Y’all are the villains. We’ve been trying to end y’all. Get free of y’all.”

Gross’ curriculum materials have been used in numerous schools. “Woke Kindergarten” is described on its website as “supporting children, families, educators and organizations in their commitment to abolitionist early education and pro-black and queer and trans liberation.”

Glassbrook Elementary in Hayward, California, spent $250,000 in federal funds provided by a program meant to help boost test scores for some of the country’s lowest-performing schools, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Less than 12% of the students can read at their grade level and under 4% are proficient in math, a 4% drop in both subjects in the last two years, according to the Chronicle.

The crazy thing is that student attendance was actually up, despite the fact that grades went down. Showing that this woke shit actually made students dumber than them just skipping class entirely.

Interesting. During yesterday's staff meeting, our principal discussed that the number one variable in regards to academic success after Covid is attendance.

Communities that had strong attendance policies did better than those that don't.

This curriculum is clearly a contradiction in regards that data.
