I'll go with Rodriguez, Inoue, Vidal

Is there a need for the Waterson rematch? I'd have thought either would have preferred a rematch with Esparza, who the rankings seem to think is the number one challenger.

Rodriguez, Inoue, Vidal

Rodriguez and Waterson fought previously in a five rounder. Rodriguez clearly won that, and showed more size and strength. Though losing more than winning of late the Karate Hottie has still shown effective skills and most recently lost a tough split decision that could have gone either way. Enjoyed seeing the two getting along well this week, they have mutual respect and friendly personalities. Saw an interview with Waterson saying this is the first rematch of her career. She's excited by the challenge of coming up with a better strategy. Said she took their previous fight on short notice and this one allowed her a full camp. Feels this being three rounds might present a better opportunity to start strong with less worry of pacing. I've been a fan of Michelle for a long time and hoping she'll do well.

Good seeing Mizuki Inoue is back. Intrigued by how she'll perform. She's been out three years due to various injuries, Recall reading here about her living in New York and falling in love with pizza. A bit too much lol. Saw that she's still training with Serra - Longo. Born and raised in Japan and moving to the US has gotta be an interesting transition. Hope she's become comfortable in New York in terms of friendships. Interested in the human side to fighter's lives and careers especially for those from Japan. My sister and I were born in Tokyo in the prefecture Saitama. My dad was stationed at Yokoda Air Base at the time.

Rendon vs. Vidal interesting for me in that I want to learn more about both fighters. This fight is at bantamweight as it appears the UFC continues trying to fill out the division. It's Rendon's UFC debut. She's from Mexico. Brazilian Vidal won her last fight with an impressive flying knee to the stomach.

Enjoy the fights.

(on UFC podcast) matt serra was a bit surprised when's mizuki's name came up so i don't think mizuki is at serra-longo this time? maybe someone on IG knows
apparently she was training with val in japan, when val had her camp there before the first alexa fight (march 2023)

Interesting, thanks bud. Let's hear what they say on today's broadcast.

I think she's been training back in Japan for a while now (1-2 years even), I believe she and Kanako spent some time at Tiger Muai Thai as well which is why they crossed paths with Val although I don't think they trained much (if at all?) with her

Brutal last fight, made up for the first one.

That being said, I am not really the sharing type but I am going to be a grandfather. Stupid grin as I type this as if I somehow invented the concept or something and I do not even care. Been telling anyone who will hold still long enough today.
:)

Happy for Mizuki.

Waterson vs. Rodriquez was pretty disgusting, we already knew how much bigger and stronger Rodriquez is, and the rematch should never been booked. And should have been stopped multiple times in the first. Looked like an adult beating a child. The only saving grace with it was that at least Rodriquez had the decency to not celebrate much. What were the matchmakers thinking?

EDIT: do not wanna take anything from Rodriquez with the bigger and stronger - just that the physical differences moved it from ”hardly any chance” to a slaughter. A rematch where the winner has improved and the loser declined is just that damn puzzling. At least last time Waterson put up a good fight, this was just retarded. I feel like a SeverianB.
