Well that's the thing, she was getting frustrated in practice at her lack of takedown progress and someone said she 'needs (to) see judo', and she went and called Henry.

Made me chuckle. <45>

Honestly....Anyone else really excited to have mizuki inoue back in a couple weeks? She only just turned 29 like a week ago, so she still has time to be relevant in this division. I really hope to see her finally reach her potential.

Of course
Plus she's fighting one of the worst fighters on the roster, she's gonna submit her and the odds will be glorious, thank you in advance for the cheque Mizuki-san.
And her BFF Kanako (a WRESTLER) is coming back the week after as well.
Though... I think this is like the 20th time Mizuki's knees have been rebuilt, so I'm not so sure about 'finally reaching her potential'. Hard to do that when you have no knees left
That problem on top of the usual JP lack of physicality (as seen most clearly in the Lemos fight) (though most everybody is out-physical'd by Roidmos so maybe that's not so damning)...
So maybe Mizuki's potential now is more in becoming a female Ms Miyagi, unleashing a new wave of talent on the MMA world to take the prizes that were cruelly denied to her. Kanako (and an entire area of Japan?) already calls Mizuki 'the boss' (future Yakuza godmother role unlocked?):
(not to try and be a downer though, she's gonna crush her opponent, get hyped Mizuki title run 2024 incoming)

This time her knees will be rebuilt stronger than ever!
Yes! September 23 UFC fight night. Mizuki hasn't had a pro fight since 2020 so it will be interesting to see how she does.Anyone else really excited to have mizuki inoue back in a couple weeks? IIRC when Rose did the grappling event at the end of last year, her gym was listed as "RGN" (her initials) kamaru has also gone back to Kill Cliff/Hooft so maybe Whittman is only with Justin for now... who knows. could also be that Trevor didn't want to travel to ParisManon Fiorot vs. Rose Namajunas. When Rose walked out without Trevor Whitman I thought uh oh. Not a good sign. So I guess she changed camps?
Yeah it's somewhat baffling. Post-fight she said that she didn't want to bother Whitman because he was training Justin for his last fight. She said there may be more to it than that and it is no one else's business. She doesn't want to talk about it further publicly at least for now. Like you say, who knows.IIRC when Rose did the grappling event at the end of last year, her gym was listed as "RGN" (her initials) kamaru has also gone back to Kill Cliff/Hooft so maybe Whittman is only with Justin for now... who knows. could also be that Trevor didn't want to travel to Paris
Wasn’t only the span of one fight camp for each? It often feels like people overestimate the time they spent together@aerius Rose may not have fought southpaws but she did train with Shevchenko for some time.

True, but that was like 6-7 years ago around the time of Valentina's fight vs. Pena. Now that I think about it, this was also when Rose made huge improvements, and Wittman also credits Shevchenko's team with giving him new insights into how training & coaching is done.
how about long time training partner JJ Aldrich??Yep. Which means she had a bit of time to actually learn. Other southpaw training partners as well, IIRC.
yikes, talk about putting the cart before the horseOh look, UFC has gone full boxing mode (not in a good way):

As Dawson has never fought outside of Missouri, can’t help but wonder if this means Invicta is returning to KC
