Elections Wisconsin Rs attempt to destroy democrats

Please provide similar democratic examples on the state level by an outgoing D party. Riotings with assaults are different from systemic corruption within a representative republic.
Like I said earlier I don't have state level examples. Feinstein's timing of releasing the Kavanaugh/Ford letter is one example of slimy anti-democratic behavior from the left. I personally find the constant lawsuits for things Obama had no issues with (travel ban etc) to be pretty slimy as well.

If Murkans dont want to live in a Fascist third-world zhithole, getting rid of the GOP would be a good start.

If a party has to destroy government institutions or destroy the voting process because they lost or might lose they shouldnt ever be anywhere near holding office.

Let's get rid of BOTH Parties.

Why should Democraps stick around? Let's get rid of them too and have Anarchy instead. <Gordonhat>

Who edited the title to completely change its meaning? Republicans in WI aren’t just attacking their political opponents, they’re attacking the very concept of the voters getting to decide what happens in their state. Shameful behavior by whichever mod did that.

Let's also remind people that Walker isn't some obscure dude in a low population state, he was a very serious presidential candidate for the GOP.

The most powerful players in the GOP have shown to be craven across the entire country at nearly every level of government. The party needs to be put out to pasture until they get they reform.

WI republicans have decided that if democracy means the Democrats win, they’ll erase democracy.

Republicans in the WI legislature are planning to, tomorrow:

1)Take the power from the Attornery General and Governor to decide whether to stay in the ACA lawsuit joined by the previous governor and AG

2) Move the WI presidential primary away from the date when an extreme far-right WI SC justice is up for re-election in order to try to suppress Dem turnout at a cost of at least 7 million $

3) take control of the state jobs board from the governor after Scott Walker had it for his entire term

4) cut early voting in a third (6 to 2 weeks) to try to suppress Dem votes

5) in general, restrict in any way possible the power of the duly elected statewide positions, which Winconsin voters gave ENTIRELY to the Democratic Party.

All this while the republican legislature received a minority of the votes and yet is retaining a strong majority in the legislature for next term due to horrendous gerrymandering.

Similar measures are being considered in Michigan, where voters also chose Democrats to run the government for them.

Republicans are literally attempting to undo the results of an election before our eyes.

More here:

This is exactly the same thing the NC Republicans did when the state elected a Dem governor in 2016.

The question was "Where have any progressives or even neoliberals tried to take power away from an incoming governor and AG after losing an election?" so...yeah. There was nothing about doing it to a Republican. Jesus lol. This whole team cheerleader shit is funny as hell.

You and I have a very different interpretation of the word "lose." The Dems won in NJ.

Democracy requires everyone to act in good faith. The voting public is the only safeguard to prevent bad actors from ruining everything. The only way this never happens again is if the public votes out everyone who suported it. That sadly won't happen.

Republicans in the WI legislature are going ahead with these moves, intended to prevent the lawfully elected Democratic state government officials from being able to execute their campaign promises by seizing a variety of powers from the governorship, AG, and other state-level positions.

Burning and salting the earth behind them.

Republicans have a threefold, obvious plan:

1) Gerrymander and restrict voting rights to suppress and render pointless the Democratic vote. Reminder: Wisconsin voted 55-45 for Democrats in the state legislature, yet republicans have 63% of the seats. A minority is seizing power from the majority-elected party. Loathsome.

2) If it looks like you’re going to lose anyway, whine about voter fraud (sometimes while secretly committing election fraud; see NC)

3) All else fails; Use your gerrymandered legislature to take power away from state offices that the voters elected Democrats into to undo your years of malfeasance.

It's absolutely revolting
Filthy, naked fingers greedily clutching at power for its own sake above all else.

So if the next governor is Republican, are they gonna keep the same rules or what?

So slimy that Kavanaugh lied to the investigative Committee about these allegations. Yet his emails told a different story.

Nice lil tid bit You forgot to mention.

Oh man. That's serious. But hey, look at the bright side. At least one whole political party hasn't accepted it as part of their ideology that the Electoral College is faulty and needs to be done away with because they didn't win a single Presidential election....

That's seriously fucked up. One of the worst examples of biased modding we've seen.

Butbutbutwhatabout

“Well Democrats think that the electoral college maybe should be updated to match the times! That justifies Republicans altering the entire structure of a state government after they lose every statewide race!”

You’re loathsome. That’s not even an equivalent scenario; the analogy would hold if a democrat house and senate took away Trump’s powers after he was elected but before he took office.
