Will Trump be a one term president?

I would prefer discussion not based on bias but, Trumps chances of reelection, from an objective perspective.

In my opinion Trump will need a miracle to get reelected. It would only take a few percentage points of his more moderate voting bloc to swing or abstain, which I think is very likely, and he'll lose.

If he runs he will win but let's remember he is one if not the oldest President in history. He is going to be 75 at reelection time. Are we sure he wants to run again.

trump will win even easier.

the main things against trump was that he had no political experience and that he was a madman that was going to destroy the world with nukes.

even a moderately weak first term is a success against that rhetoric. A lot of people who bought into the bullshit will come around to vote for him next time.

Last poll I saw shows Clogged Arteries and running mate Dia Beatrice having a 90% chance of taking Blotus down in 2020.

I've always said history is the antidote to liberalism but maybe I should change that to geography.

The liberal world map is basically America in the west and UK/Sweden in the east. The rest of the world "doesn't count because it isn't educated" even though 187 of the world's 195 countries are less liberal than we are.

I've noticed they also tend to think whites are a global majority, Stalin and Mao are still alive, and other bizarre tidbits. They are "fighting the power" though. No need to do your homework with a goal so noble.

To say that China is to the left of Sweden would be laughable to most who have knowledge of both countries.

Perhaps you should try to justify such statements instead of making long and rambling posts.
Then ignore that one. My view of China is probably colored by my childhood. Now, go ahead and address the point.

Cough... @waiguoren ... cough

At this point, I give Trump a 70% chance of re-election assuming he runs again and makes it to election day---hence my bet with @rj144.

Politically, he has squandered multiple opportunities to become an unstoppable force. In particular, he could have worked with Democrats right out of the gate to secure single-payer legislation. Although his base would not support him on that issue, immigration/trade/SCOTUS plus the reality show demagoguery would be more than enough to keep them in line.

Feed the Left exactly what they want on their #1 issue and expect them to be much less interested in your replacement. In such a scenario, even a Sanders-like candidate with Obama-level suave would lose to Trump in 2020.

Trump is still vulnerable if the economy tanks and if the Democrats can actually run a good candidate in 2020. Mind you, @Jack V Savage types, Hillary R. Clinton was not a "good candidate". Perhaps you believe she is a good thinker or a good politician or a good policy wonk or a good mother, but as a candidate---meaning as a leader who inspires ordinary people to vote for her---she is far below average.

Being among the 10 or so most culturally left-leaning countries in the world makes you far left. There are nearly 200 recognized countries in the world and the US is only marginally "right" of Sweden, France, Canada, UK, and a couple of other post-peak countries where extreme regression/nihilism has set in. As "nations", every country on that list is slated for non-existence by the end of the century. Quite the company to keep.

I don't understand if the China part is a joke or not. Modern China is overtly nationalist, mixed econ and would be classified as a fascist/Nazi or similar state if they were westerners.
This is what I mean about you not being rational. We're not extremely regressive or nihilistic. Most recognized countries in the world are complete shitholes or not comparable, so your comparison to "200 recognized countries" sucks. You're really going to lean on places like Libya or Vatican City or Greenland to pad your bullshit? Stick to the top economies.

Idk if Trump can win but one of my good friends Swears Obama is running again in 2020. I don't think Obama would take it. Could you imagine Trump vs Obama 2020? I hope I'm alive to see it .

First sentence of the first section of the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution:

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice...

But Obama could run because they are not consecutively or is that wrong

His name is "God Emperor Two Term Trump" for a reason

to lose reelection a president has to really fuck something up, not just say stupid shit. He has a very good chance of winning again, especially with the whack jobs the left will probably parade out.

Please name a single thing democrats have done so far that will swing a single voter to their side? I can post a giant list of things Trump has done, but last time I did, someone complained and the liberal mods edited it out. Apparently trumps done so much, it is too large a list to have here without triggering liberals.

Last I checked dems lost every single election since November.

Some people on the right may not like Trump, but they hate Democrats. Dems have done nothing to change that.

Here's an easy one.

Not take away healthcare from working families so billionaires can get tax breaks. That's easy.

Perhaps you missed the town halls over the past year where GOP members were getting their assholes torn out

I think it's all about stability. If Trump keeps doing what he's doing he'll be re-elected.

Remember, people vote with their wallets, their safety and their children's education in mind.
They don't vote a way because Don Lemon told them there's a horrible wacist in the White House as much as the leftists here would like that to be true.

Very high chance of re-election. Dems have done nothing to woo the voters in swing states back, have no leadership, and are unable to raise money.

They're gonna lose more seats in 2018, are about to become a fringe coastal party, and they know it. That's why they're losing their minds.

Trump is going to be a two term president .. the left's batshit reaction and ongoing hysteria will assure that .. you guys just keep reinforcing over and over why trump was voted into office

Ultimately, the republican establishment came in for Trump, and so did establishment republican voters because he was running against someone they had vehemently hated for 25 years. The idea was that if he won (and I think, like Brexit, a chunk of people who voted for him had no expectation that he could actually win) he would cut the PR bullshit, settle down, and be able to work with Republicans to accomplish a conservative agenda. Him firing Comey, him trying to get Sessions to resign by trolling him on Twitter, him trolling McConnell on Twitter, him stalling and equivocating to stomp on white supremacists/ neo nazis, and him going full "fire and fury" retard when it comes to NK, etc., have all changed that, and America is a very different place than it was when Trump won a close election last year.

Also, Bernie very well may have beat Trump in a head to head last year, and he was more of a leftist than Clinton. Now, the independents have stopped supporting Trump, and unless he is able to get a lot of people in rust belt working again, those folks who voted for Obama in 08 & 12, and for Trump in 16, are going to be looking for reform and hope and change and for someone besides Trump to make America great again.

if he starts another war, cnn an co. will suddenly praise him and push for another term.
he'll be the president who has learned and what not...
