Some of you are dumb. Democrats can't shut anything down because the GOP controls the presidency, house, and senate. The reason the shutdown is happening is that the bipartisan support needed to force to bring the Epstein List to the floor has been had and the GOP is trying to delay this as long as possible. It is like you all forgot that Mike Johnson shutdown a session the first time the Epstein questions started heating up. Mike's M.O. is to just shut everything down until people just "forget" about Trump's relationship to Epstein.

Democrats threatening to shutdown the government unless they can bring back funding to give healthcare to illegals, which they originally said was misinformation… among other things.

But seems they have backed themselves into a corner. Trump and his team are saying to bring it, and if you shut it down, we will just fire the jobs that are subject to the shutdown.

If it is shutdown, there are 100k federal workers or contractors that state they will retire.

Interesting how it will turn out politically. Seems trump and Russ Vought are fine either way, so will be interesting to see if Schumer and the democrats cave last minute. Fetterman is currently the only democrat that says he will vote for the CR
