I like smith more, but cruise has definitely had the better career and is a better actor


He's really taken a variety of roles and has been successful making movies in every genre. It isn't close imo
 
Squash match. Cruise wipes the floor with Smith. More varied roles, better movies, more range, better franchises. Will Smith has made some fun movies, some solid movies, and some trash. Cruise has made some fun movies, lots of great and solid movies, but hardly has any trash movies in his resume. Smith hasn't made a decent movie in ages. Cruise still produces.
 
I dont like either , but Tom Cruise was cooler when he had the jagged teeth

serious question. I Know Adament has his 80's mega threads. but we seriously had the best toys, cartoons, tv shows, sports teams, WWF, and movies. and we had to struggle through signal scrambled porn for hours until you got that brief glorious 30 seconds of clear action.

even our president was awesome.

damn sorry to hear that man..... you were born in a terrible, terrible, awful decade.


TBH If it wasn't for Die Hard (which should be an 80's film) the decade would, and in all objective honesty should be erased from history.

Just a charismatic and likable dude, at least he used to be. There's always been something really offputting about Cruise to me.


Can't deny he's a great actor that's been in a lot of iconic movies though. His resume is hard to beat, a huge star for thirty years which puts him in a select group.
 
Tom Cruise has been making top quality movies consistently since almost 10 years before Will Smith started making music with DJ Jazzy Jeff. And he is now making good movies more consistently than Will Smith at the age of 54.

Will Smith still has an incredible resume and a great list of performances. But Cruise is almost impossible to catch in these kinds of contests.

I liked Will Smith a lot when I was younger. Watched Fresh Prince, loved Independence Day and would basically go to see any movie he was in just because he was in it.

But then I started feeling like he was getting a bit too full of himself and also felt he had become more of a product than a human being. Combine that with the fact that he hasn't made a really good movie in years and he kind of lost me as a fan.
