Yeah I just don't think the distance would be there long enough for that to happen much. I think a clinchfest is most likely.

I think the clinches will break up just as often as they start, and when they do khabib will box him up.

Both guys are improving though, so who knows.

youre blowing d1 wrestlers out of proportion. khabib has access and is training with 20 times better wrestlers in dagestan. literally every gym has dozens guys who would school gregor in wrestling. dagestan is 3 millions ppl and are producing more wrestling champions than nations of 100+ million. per capita dagestan is producing multiple times more wrestling champions than the usa and europe combined.

koschek is a d1 wrestler who got schooled by gsp who never wrestled in college or as a kid.

You seriously know nothing and are showing it. Every gym has dozens of guys who would school him LMAO? He lost on points to Jordan Burroughs his senior year. Burroughs won gold in the 2012 olympics.

No offense, but you ruin any credibility when you make stupid hyperbolic statements. Khabib mostly trains at AKA but dismissing Gregor's wrestling like you just did does nothing but make you look dumb. I'm not saying that to be a dick, it really does.

Clarion, Edinboro, Lehigh, Lock Haven, Bloomsburg, Franklin & Marshall, and Bucknell are all small Pennsylvania colleges that have D1 wrestling programs. In total PA has the most D1 wrestling programs of any state at 11.

You're totally right about Angle, he wrestled at Clarion. As of recent times Clarion's most successful product has been Bekzod Abdurakhmonov. He's got multiple wins against Jordan Burroughs, took 3rd at the worlds last year, and has gold medals at the Asian Games. In fact he was voted Uzbekistan's best athlete last year too. He's in his late 20's so I think he's only got one more Olympic games left in him.

Um, lol, look up what he did to Abel Trujillo buddy. Not saying Abel is as good of wrestler as Gregor, but this is what he does to wrestlers.

And yes, he is, you seem to think wrestling is the only form of grappling, Khabib blends together like 5 different forms of martial arts for his grappling. He is literally leagues better than Gregor.

This. People think that because something is written or spoken, it must be gospel. They fail to see with their own eyes how effect someone really is. Did we ever think GSP could possibly outwrestle Koscheck? A guy with no amateur wrestling titles was able to wreck a NCAA D1 champ, twice.

We've all seen plenty of champions from other combat sports who can't adapt their base to a real fight. Roberto Travern getting tapped by Frank Mir, Gokan Saki and Joe Schilling getting dusted......it may not happen all the time, but it for sure happens. Again, Gregor's wrestling looks better on paper than Khabib's since he's had the formal competition of American Folkstyle wrestling and accolades to back it up. However, Khabib has shown greater effectiveness and ability to implement his style in a real fight.

Seeing is believing.

Khabib has good timing and is descent at keeping himself out of range. It doesn't take much to thwart a good striker if he's afraid of your wrestling. We've seen it happen in other fights.

not trying to rag on you, but this shows how little MMA even the "hardcore" fans watch.

Gregor is 6-0 in the UFC with 5 finishes. If this guy isn't on your radar already, you should start watching more MMA.

khabib ragdolls ed ruth in the gym. don’t see gillespie being much of an issue for him. american wrestling is inferior to eastern european wrestling.
