Wand doesn't deserve a %. He had a UFC title shot and lost. If he wanted PPV Points he should have won.
Yeah he lost that title shot back in like 1987..

What about UFC 132? Wand was on the main card along with Faber and Tito, the card still didn't do that well.
Where is this myth that Wand is a huge draw coming from? He never did big number in the UFC, and at this point never will. He doesn't deserve PPV points, and doesn't deserve the 250k checks he's getting. While proven top 5 fighters like Okami get cut... Brilliant.
i think wand should. he's already doing his part in hyping the fight lol. but seriously fight has potential to sell a lot, so he should.
So Wand declines the Chael fight unless he gets a % of ticket/ppv sales. Dana threatens him with retirement. Wand is still beating the drums of war. Presumably in the hope that the UFC will change its mind and offer him a %.
Wand has until 2014 to manufacture drama and hype up the fight. Do you think he's doing this in vain or do you think Dana & Co. might backtrack and give him what he wants?

Say what you will but clearly the buy rates have fallen since Wand came to the UFC in 2007, and he's still averaging good numbers.
Notice how the big numbers are cards that have PROVEN top draws, like GSP, Liddell, even Forrest at one point... Wand seems like a regular draw at best, not good, not bad, just average. Average doesn't deserve a PPV %.

Against Tito.
This is why join date matters.
First off, UFC often likes to use Wand in foreign countries, aka, not the biggest PPVS.
They throw Wand and some locals on it and call it a PPV. Go check out how many he's been on.
In any form of bigger match with a good card he's been involed with huge numbers.
UFC 92 against Rampage: 1 million buys
UFC 79 against Chuck: 750,000 buys
Wand had the biggest PPV's of any combination of the Wand/Chuck/Rampage fights. Pretty impressive to be out-selling 2 poster-boy UFC LHW Champs in their own organization.
And what does that have to do with Okami at all? I agree with you about him though, the UFC is fucking retarded on a regular basis. They would rather pay $6k/$6k to a scrub off of TUF than a guy like Okami, or more relevant to the conversation: a big fight like Wand/Sonnen.
If Wand's fights with Chuck and Rampage were main events, I'd agree with you. But those cards had GSP/Hughes 3 (huge fight, and GSP is a proven big draw) and the other was headlined by Forrest/Rashad, other superstars who are proven draws, not to mention Nog vs Mir right after TUF. So it's not about Wand drawing, it's about Wand being on a huge card that would have been a huge draw regardless.

Idiot alert!
If you think for one second that Wand is not a draw then you are the biggest moron on these forums....BTW you do realize the UFC 99 vs Franklin was free for many areas of the world right?
If you are telling me that people bought the Wand-Rampage III PPV in order to watch Forrest/Rashad, I literally don't have any argument back for you.
But Scorpion was always my favourite in MK. Good call.
jesus christ. different owners, different fucking century.....
Rashad and Forrest are much bigger draws in the states than Wand. I thought it was pretty obvious to anybody with a brain. Besides, Nog/Mir right after TUF for the heavyweight belt would seem like a decent draw as well.
