Will an Indian ever hold a UFC strap?

I guess your post proves that Fedor > Hunt or JDS.

I don't think Fedor could get close to gold at this moment (after the Maldonado fight I wouldn't bet on it). I think Jaideep beats both of them atm.

Despite India's large size, I don't believe Indian culture values athletics as much as many other countries and that's why they develop fewer quality athletes.

The US in particular is kind of obsessed with sports to the point where most of us place athletes on greater pedestals than public servants, intellectuals, and other people who are actually valuable to society. I love MMA, just sayin though.

This is a thread about Indian MMA...I wasn't taking things very seriously here. Regardless, Fedor does hold a win over Singh.

Mma isnt big in Indian culture. Maybe an ethnic Indian from America could do well, especially at 125.

Most of their best techniques are illegal under the unified rules.

Limb stretching
Teleportation
Fire breath

seriously, this is the only Indian with a chance. I mean a giant country like that couldn't get tiny Britain off its back until 'non-violent protests', lol

When I first read this I was thinking true blooded American Indian. But I doubt either will hold a UFC belt.

The greatest wrestler of all time was the Great Gama from India. He out powered all his western opponents. He even fought catch wrestling. So there is no reason why an Indian can't win a major MMA belt.

Will there ever be Turkish oil-wrestling base UFC champion?

He was only 5'7", way under 200lbs. May be success at WW

Indians are tough as fuck and almost all of them are ripped and oiled.

I work with a ton of Indians and they don't seem to be into MMA much. That said, India is a massive country with over a billion people. One would think they'd be able to produce a top tier fighter or two.

However all the Indians I work with don't seem to possess an athletic bone in their body. I'm confident that if my office had an open weight tournament I'd at least make it to the finals.

So, will we ever see Dana putting the belt on an Indian fighter?
Don't say strap. That's a word for man-children that still watch pro wrestling.

You ever watch Punjabi slap fighting? Nick Diaz would dominate.

This guy will be the Atom Weight Champion:

This is why i'm always confused when I hear people say they want to visit India. What kind of fucking vacation can you have when you're surrounded by poor people? I've noticed that Europeans are experts at blocking that shit out, though.
