Almost all of the protesters are under 30, moot point.
I watched a livestream of DC yesterday, it was after curfew and only the "tough" protesters were left. They were chanting and running away from teargas, suddenly some of them started destroying cars and store displays. Some of the protesters told them to stop, but a lot of them were into it. You don't get to pretend all the protesters are good boys and the people causing trouble are "not real protesters" or some bullshit. It's the No True Scotsman all over again, you love that shit.

Its a genius trick by the media to take something that affects everyone, like police violence, and make it a racial issue. Nowhere is that clearer than their absolute freakout when "All Lives Matter" slogan became a thing. They can't have the people unifying, that would be awful!

I'm not pretending that all protesters are peaceful good boys, just like I'm not acting like all police are racist murderers. Lumping everyone together because of the bad actions of some is how shit like this explodes.

Every corporate account in America is now pushing for justice, black lives matter, solidarity with protesters. I understand these people primarily want to avoid having their stores destroyed, but a lot of money just shifted in support of progressive causes as a result of this. I’d be on the lookout for civil rights focused legislation placing some federal controls around law enforcement behavior soon.

Basically it’s a plea for somebody other than Trump to stand up and solve the problem in the absence of leadership at the federal level.

Was he the officer that was killed? Yes of course his life matters, he was killed while just doing his job.

Don't get me wrong I'm not for one second defending the rioting going on. I'm just saying it's valid to hold the opinion that excessive use of force does happen in the Police force, including with George, but also that rioting and looting is absolutely the wrong way to do anything about it.
